If it was up to me we'd go back to FTC requirement for broadcasts to support opposing views on the same show.

The people who hate that idea, I assume have the most reason to fear their crap will be exposed for what it is. Because it doesn't limit speech at all whatever the complaints otherwise are, though it does make an extra requirement.

It does limit speech. The idea is a relic of the past, when there were three channels on TV and just as few on talk radio. "News" when slanted did not qualify to be challenged.

You can get all the opposing views you want, if you want.

It does. It says you cannot speak without letting someone else speak. That limits free speech. It is an unconstitutional taking of property in the form of airtime. There is no reason for it.

Liberals love the idea as they have not been able to compete in opinionated shows since the rule was lifted in the 1980s. Since they cannot compete they want the competition shut down.

If you want both sides, watch FNC one night and MSNBC the next. Do you do this?

I don't see the need to have opposing views on the same show or even on the same station, but I would like to see opinion more clearly identified as such and "facts" having to be backed up with actual evidence.

That's bulllshit because we know people gravitate towards enjoyment vs. substance much of the time. Like the cocaine using monkeys. Just keep pushing the handle that delivers the drug.
