Dems love the KKK, it was the military arm of their party for decades. It's gone underground now, but Dems and KKK will always be linked. How many Repubs were KKK Grand Kleagels and in congress. As late as the 2000s they had a Senator who was a KKK leader. Really, you do not want to have to defend the history of Democrats, the KKK, and racism. They are all rolled into one.
