Walt cheated with his business partner's wife. Then I think he just left the company as he liked his business partner but didn't want to tell him. But then the company became really successful and Walt eventually became bitter about his school teacher job and his not being cut in.

I think that's the way it went.

I thought he dated her before she was married. He left the business because the $4,000 seemed a good payout to him, he thought he was making out but the only guy who ever did worse in that era was the guy who sold an OS to some guy named Gates for $40,000. That guy must have thought he made a real killing.

Loyalty can cut both ways. Depends who or what you're loyal to. It can also go too far.

True, but in OC you need a guy who will do what you order without question. Todd respected Walter more than anyone besides Jack. He would have clipped Gale without question. You can imagine what he would have done to Ted. IRL he resembles Tommy Bilotti. Not too bright, but an attack dog for the bright guy.

His judgment in women is questionable. Lydia was both a disaster and not to be trusted. Not only would Lydia sell her mother to save herself, she would ship her postage due.

Probably could make an interesting list of people who did things like that. I remember Pete Best for that reason. The Beatle's first drummer. He might have been forced out no matter what he did though.

Some not so famous. One guy I know said he had a grandparent or more likely great-grandparent who George Eastman wanted as an early employee but the guy refused to join the Freemasons so nogo. Another person had some parent or grandparent who sold their shares of Haloid Corp.

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/shri-thanedar-animals-rescued-from-lab_us_5ae12c41e4b055fd7fc7be6c

Here's a fun one. Shri Thanedar is a Democrat candidate for governor in Michigan.

Headline: "Over 100 Dogs And Monkeys Were Rescued From Michigan Democrat’s Shuttered Company"

Apparently years ago the guy's animal testing company/lab went out of business, and the animals were just left there.

Normally I wouldn't quote something from Huffington Post, or at least would verify it elsewhere, but since this is a liberal rag posting about a liberal democrat, I find that to be an exception. (Sorta like The Hill posting about a spying russian soccer ball. Shame on them for a sensational headline!)

This was from April, looks like it showed up in my facebook feed because a friend of mine just commented on it.

Regarding The Hill article, here is a headline
"Soccer ball Putin gave Trump contains transmitter chip — but for Adidas: report"

here is the original headline I saw "Soccer Ball Putin gave to Trump contained transmitter chip used to breach cellphone"

I see the jerks ads on TV every day,
who is backing this ugly little toad.
His tag line is "We have to keep
Trump's bigotry out of Michigan."

Who is he playing to, unemployment
is down to unheard of levels in
the minority community. He's 20
points behind in the polls.

I see lots of yard signs for Shri around Ann Arbor. I guess the liberals here like him?

He’s gonna lose the primary, so who cares?

She had an 18 month chip from N/A when they met. Jesse brought Meth into the apt. but her drug of choice was heroin.

When Walt wanted Jesse, he shook him, and in doing so caused her to roll over onto her back. During Jesse's first try of iv heroin, she told him he had to sleep on his side, or he would choke if he puked. There is a term for that kind of aspiration, via alcohol. I think two of the Marx brothers died from it?

If she would have stayed on her side, the puke would flow out, maybe? In Walts obsessed way, he loved Jesse and was so narcissistic he couldn't let anyone else have control over him. Once she got access to unlimited funds, after blackmailing Walt, and her preference for "speedballs", she would easily have od'd withing 18 months.

Loyalty in business as in life is priceless. That's why Walt undermined Gail, who was a very competent chemist . I think Gus's plan all along was to replace Walt, because as he explained to Walt at El Pollo, "never have a junkie as your partner", when Walt forced the answer as to why Gus wouldn't meet up with Walt & Jesse.

Walt was an ass and a lousy chem teacher, before he became a meth cook. Can you imagine needing that credit in school and having him for a teacher?

They did not meet in N/A, they met when Jesse rented half the duplex. They only dated a month or two.

Walt undermined Gale because Jesse would otherwise have filed charges against Hank for kicking the crap out of him. It is ambiguous if Jesse demanded a return to the business or would have just let Walt pay him off but Walt was too cheap to do so. It was understood that Walt was just to be hired on as a consultant, train Gale then leave clean when his contract was over. Gus was supposed to be a "professional" and would let Walt walk away, assuming he would not rat out the lab.

Walt had a good thing. He had Fring. He worked in a system where he could have cooked, went home at night, and had all the money he needed. But he had to have things his own way, and he got hooked up with a junkie who could not play by the rules.

Don't know why all these comments about Breaking Bad are in the news thread... but carrying on:

Shooting the little kid on the motorbike was the right thing to do. Three men can keep a secret if two of them are dead.

What were they going to do? Put it to a vote? Brains? He had the sense to armed. He had good aim.
