There was some debate about the "I was a virgin in high school" tactic. Mostly I think it means we have reached a new low in politics that discussions of when you lost your virginity should be part of public vetting.

I keep saying the USA has less than 50 years left as a united country. This whole thing is not the turning point, but it will surely be a sign post that we were well on our way down the path.

I predict he will be confirmed, though it may be 51-50. I further predict violence from the usual liberal groups. Might just be "aggressive" demonstrations, but they are so unhinged they are like an unmanaged forest, all kinds of fuel lying about, waiting to burn.

This close to my position. I wouldn't use the word "obviously," but I think Shaw has confused Kavanaugh with someone else. In a "he said she said" situation, you have to look at other evidence and it seems all of that favors Kavanaugh.

What "other evidence?" There is none in this case. Nothing but "she said" 35 years later.

We are far down a dangerous road when one claim of one thing in high school is used to just destroy someone.
