Been awhile, but lurking.

I follow BCS closely, cause I do what Jimmy does in a manner of speaking. Just a little different locale and area of the law. But I don't sell burner phones. Yet.

That said, the first episode of Season 5 was perfect IMO. The key to this show is that - like so often in real life and the law biz - the 'payoff' is slow to materialize. The payoff scenes in BCS are always developed with exquisite precision, and never too quickly.

As I was once again this year explaining to my wife the meaning behind the initial 'future story' at the commencement of each season, I was reminded of how working retail is what every lawyer thinks about when having a bad day. And we all most definitely get them.

I thought last night's episode was great, especially the intense first 10 minutes (the "Gene" story line)

I was once again disappointed. I can't figureout why I continue to watch.

I love the “Gene” story. And, I’m not down on BCS, but the pace can be maddening. My complaint is that each episode should be twice as long, or there should be twice as many. The parallel stories are going to meet eventually, but they aren’t moving to resolution very quickly.

That's because there isn't much
of a story there, so they stretch
what they do have to the limit.
Without Chuck and Kim, which nobody
cares about, the show would have
ended 2 seasons ago.

I fell behind on this season as I was on vacation when the first two episodes aired.

I have just caught up on all the episodes over the past couple of days.

I’m loving it so far. I didn’t care for the last season very much but this one has been much more entertaining, IMO.

Based on a cryptic tweet from the Better Call Saul twitter account, next Monday’s episode sounds like a doozy.

This season is slow as molasses as
usual. They love to take up time
with stuff like 2 full minutes seeing
an ice cream cone melt and ants
invade it. And Mike looks like he's
85, very hard to believe his part
anymore. Even Fring looks old,
and worn out.

What does guarded condition mean?

This gives me flashbacks to when John Ritter collapsed on the set of his sitcom 8 Simple Rules.... that didn’t end well.
