I wish I understood this stuff, but it is pretty scary. Good thing there is God, Heaven, and ultimately something to look forward to. This of course doesn't mean we have a lot of work to do right here, right now, to try to fix some of this stuff.

Pope John Paul was not afraid to address issues with world economy In May 1991 he issued the encyclical, "Centesimus Annus" which has the fullest treatment of the market economy in any papal document. It was mostly positive, but also had qualifications and ringing reminders about economic failures in both developing and developed countries.

Of course we have to fix it, we're all
coming back to enjoy it again.

Evenbob, stay on target!

I will say though that your view of reincarnation sounds like the horror stories we tell small children.

Actually, the stories are coming from the
small children, and being verified as true.

The thing is, Padre, they do not want you to understand it. There is a small subset that does understand it, meanwhile I have met people of amazing intelligence who do not. I'm talking doctor-level smarts. In a way count yourself lucky because I swear you need a borderline personalty disorder to get it. FWIW I include myself in the disorder and understanding it groups.

"Some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world. This opinion, which has never been confirmed by the facts, expresses a crude and naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power and in the sacralized workings of the prevailing economic system."

"This is going to be a disaster" remarks Velkouleskou in the meeting.

IMF discussing causing, a "credit event".

"The transcript, though received with fury and incredulity in Greece, will drop like a bombshell into the Commission and the ECB. It is they who are holding E300bn+ of Greek debt. It is the whole of Europe, in other words, that the IMF is conspiring to hit with the shock doctrine."

This just keeps getting more and more a tangled mess. Greece is like some guy living above his means in a nice neighborhood. All the neighbors joined the country club so his wife made them join too. But they cannot afford the dues, so they fall behind. Meanwhile the country club has to keep so many members or they lose their own line of credit with their bank.

Just thinking now, it shows how history turns things. If not for the USSR threat, Greece would be some backwater where Germans went for their vacations and nothing more.
