Seriously, why do you care about the specifics of religion when you profess it to be a bad idea in the first place time after time. Why keep starting new threads about it to just say negative points?

I've read half a dozen articles now on angels
being male, and nobody really wants to discuss
it. They know it's just another example of the
Church's belief of male superiority over women.

Yes, if you have no interest in the Church or religion in general you should keep quiet about it.

Ha, of course God the Father is not a male. Do you really think God is a big old guy with a beard sitting upon the clouds of Heaven. I really think your problem is not with Christianity, but like your friend Ed what YOU think Christianity is. Or we could look at this as a place of agreement we have: God, as a spiritual being is not male or female nor are angels. There you go we agree on something after all.

It is my understanding that "sons of God" refers to Angels. Clearly if they are procreating with women, then they are male. Correct me if I'm wrong.

This also makes me wonder why archaeologists have evidently never found any remains of these giant offspring of male angels and female humans, but I don't want to change the topic.

Finally, was Goliath one of these giants, or just a large human?

For the same reason they haven't found Noah's Ark or evidence of Israelite slaves in Egypt or the Sinai: it never happened.
