If the GOP takes it away from Trump in a crooked way I am done voting for POTUS forever. As it is the two parties are simply in cahoots with the GOP giving Obama anything he has asked for, never standing up. The establishment keeps wanting to lose and come back in the next election.

You post is exactly why Dems are not scared
On one side we have AZ that will insure a HRC win if Trump does not get the nomination.
Think of that, you think we are scared that AZ will never vote for POTUS forever
You think we are scared that AZ will insure a HRC win. lol
cmon, this is heaven for dems.
On the other side, plenty of republicans that don't like Trump. That's why this nomination is so contested.
Scared, no way, I got the popcorn out :-)

Exactly.

My life long Republican parents will not vote for Trump under any circumstance.
My life long Republican best friend will vote for Hillary if the party steals the nomination from Trump.

It's a lose-lose for the Republicans, and a win for the country and humanity.

Absolute fear. And they were right,
it's costing a fortune and is totally
failing. Just today United Healthcare,
the biggest insurer involved in Obummercare,
is pulling out. They lost $600,000,000
last year and if they stay in, will lose
1 billion this year. If the biggest insurer
in the country can't make it, the rest
will soon follow. Obamacare is great if
you never get sick. Go for a doctor
visit, and you have to spend $5000
out of your own pocket before it even
kicks in. Some people's deductibles are
even higher.

http://www1.salary.com/UNITEDHEALTH-GROUP-INC-Executive-Salaries.html

And those numbers aren't even all-inclusive. The CEO (Helmsley) reported 14M+ here, but was widely reported to receive total compensation of 66M including stock options for that year.

Also: administrative costs for administering United Healthcare: 27.2% in 2014.
Administrative costs for Medicare in 2014: 2%
Guess who wore it better?

And then there's those pesky stockholders.

They received total dividends of $2.00 per share in 2015. How many shares? 950.67 MILLION. Which means the company paid over 1.9 Billion just in dividends. And then claimed they lost 660 million doing business. That's 1.9 Billion more than Medicare had to pay their non-existent shareholders. In that same model, Medicare would have shown a 1.3 billion profit. But they're non-profit, so that money would have gone back to the taxpayers in the form of lower premiums or other adjustment mechanism. Or wouldn't have been charged in the first place.

This is exactly why healthcare is spiraling out of control (the for-profit insurer model). These private insurers have been skinning the public for decades. Of course they're blaming Obamacare, and working their books to make it look bad. Because the public healthcare model exposes them for the greedy a-holes they are.

Heaven forbid a company make a profit!

Babs, just curious, do or did you work for free or did someone pay for your services?

If the company had only paid 1.00/share dividends last year, even with their bloated executive salaries, they would've shown a 300M+ profit. If they had paid reasonable salaries to their executives rather than what the industry has blown into outrageous "standard" amounts, they would've come close to even without cutting dividends.

It's a problem when you're talking about basic, necessary services such as healthcare. If they were in a luxury industry, let them charge all the market will bear. If their industry freely competed for insurance contracts nationwide, let them compete. But no, they have all kinds of monopolistic restrictions in place, protecting their overcharges by state lines and hospital contracting accepting some and not others. So who's stopping them from making a profit? Only themselves by how they do their books and administer their costs.

Executive salaries are a small part of any major company. They are a straw man, the only people who have any right to say what the executives get pair are shareholders. Let the shareholders worry about the agency problem of dividends.

Nonsense. If you do not want the insurers making a profit from you, go without insurance. Well, now we are forced to buy insurance at the point of a gun, but if we did not have the individual mandate. It could be done, just put money aside for an emergency. If you say you cannot do that, well that is why they make a profit! You are paying someone to shoulder risk you do not want to take.

Here is the real question I have for you. If the insurers are making so much profit, why do you not buy some of their stock? Make the money for yourself?

Here are some profit margins for healthcare. Notice they are not spectacular. The profit you think they do not deserve is not the problem.

Cruz and Kasich are teaming up to "stop Trump."

Seems like something that should have been done about a month and a half ago to me.... but their egos got in the way until now, when it's just about too late to stop Trump.

It is amazing how influential twitter has become in 10 years. The Short Message System technology was established 30 years ago, but twitter has made it gold. Reporters simply have to copy twitter messages today. It is said that there are over 1/3 billion active followers.

It's like a megalomaniacs wet dream. Caitlyn Jenner, accumulated a million followers in just 4 hours.

It's now been 40 years since network

He has had some ups and had some downs.

Great quote.

Trump University had 40,000 "students" enroll in the $1,500 course and 5,000 "students" enroll in the $35,000 Gold Elite course. (The curriculum mostly consisted of advising students how to max out their credit cards to sign up for yet more Trump University courses.)

Trump is being hammered in the press for insulting the judge presiding over (one of) the class action lawsuits against Trump University. The judge wasn't amused by Donald's childish antics, so in retaliation he ordered 400 pages of internal documents to be released, and the documents basically prove that Trump University was a total scam.

So the campaign is in damage control. You'd think out of 5,000 graduates they could find a hundred people to testify how valuable their education was, and how Trump personally helped them become millionaires. The campaign couldn't find 100 people, but they released a video featuring 3 people who loved Trump University!

However, it didn't occur to the Trump campaign that anyone with access to Google could do a little research and easily unearth who these 3 people are. The conservative website RedState has the details about the people in the video. Sad!

It's interesting that if it was a scam, and Trump
and his expensive lawyers knew that it could be
easily proved in court, why didn't Trump settle?
The people suing wanted a settlement and
Trump refused. So I have to wonder, considering
that Trump and his super expensive lawyers
aren't stupid, what could they be up to. It
can still be settled at any time in the process,
with a gag order placed on the details.

The only answer is, Trump and his lawyers are
really stupid, or it's not a scam. Hmm, I
think I'm going with the latter.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.
