Wizard Administrator Member since: Oct 23, 2012 Threads: 239 Posts: 6095 | It looks like Miplet is going to have to dust off his Clue program. Mrs. White has been killed off (white lives don't matter) and replaced with the Asian Dr. Orchid. This story made the CBS Evening News today. Here is some more information: Meet the New Character in the Classic Board Game Clue. I hope to be the first to play Dr. Orchid in game 12, or wherever we left it. Seriously, I'd like another game. The question for the poll is what do you think of this change? Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

I agree. She sounds guilty just by the name. BTW, I wanted to say "water hemlock" but ran out of characters. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

I'm kind of for playing during cabin fever times in winter, mostly, but actually for me now might not be a bad time for a game I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

DJTeddyBear Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 5 Posts: 265 | Seriously? I mean, seriously? At least when there's a change of a Monopoly piece, there's actually a piece of artwork involved, and emotional attachment to whatever piece that's being retired. Political correctness? I know more black people named White than white people, and more white people named Black than black people. This is nothing more than a gimmick to get free publicity, --- But I think the Wiz blew it with poll response #8 "What is a conservatory?" DT might be independent of WoV, but nearly all of us are Vegas geeks. As such, we all know that the Bellagio Conservatory is on Vegas Must Do lists, therefore we all know what a conservatory is... Ignorance is bliss and knowledge is power. But having only some facts can get you into trouble! |

I clicked on #8 Yes I am a Vegas Geek When in town, I always try to check out the display off the lobby at the Bellagio When with friends, I always say," lets check out the Bellagio display" I don't use the word "Conservatory" If on the strip and ask the random pedestrian where the conservatory is, probably get a blank stare and a shrug. If you say Bellagio Conservatory, then a lot of people know. If you say Bellagio garden or display, just about everybody knows Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

I never meant to imply that I don't know what a conservatory is. Seriously, when do you ever hear the word except when preceded by Bellagio? Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |
