I would agree with that for the presidents that I have lived through. I haven't studied all of them. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

I’m no CEO, but I would only do business with Trump with cash up front. Frankly, I have no sympathy for any business that does otherwise. It’s not like there isn’t a track record to see…. |

I think that most historians would give that honor to James Buchanen, the 15th and only bachelor POTUS, and many people speculate was our only gay president. He promised not to run for relection, and told Abraham Lincoln that the country was ungovernable. In general James Buchnan is often blamed for encouraging the Supreme Court's majority ruling in the pro-slavery decision in the Dred Scott case. He acceded to Southern attempts to engineer Kansas’ entry into the Union as a slave state, which angered not only Republicans but also Northern Democrats. His failure to forestall the Civil War has been described as incompetence, and he spent his last years defending his reputation. He lived for 3 years after Abraham Lincoln's assasination. |
