He's way more talented than she'll
ever be.
In her early years she was pretty funny. He on the other hand, I have never seen do anything that made me laugh.

And back to the first question, why did he marry her, for love?

They got along well at first. They knew
each other for years before he was
a writer on her show. Rosanne is
a bonafide admitted nut job, she's
mentally ill. She lives in or lived
in a fantasy world. She made up a
childhood of parental abuse and
incest that never happened, and as
her show got more successful, she
turned into a raving loon off camera.
Tom Arnold finally had enough and
got out of there. Go to wiki and read
her personal life info, and it only skims
the surface.

There is just something about her that I find irritating, like fingernails on a blackboard. Her and Whoopi Goldberg. They can be in character or on a talk show, just irritating.

Don't get me started on Whoopsie. The
most talentless hack in Hwood. It made
me sick when she got the 'token' Oscar
for that ghost movie. Now she's that
huge fat blob that presides over the View
with her fatuous Lib comments on nothing.

I think we saw her first on Johnny Carson, and at the time were raising small children. At that time when she was just starting out her humor was about how thankless kids and relationships can be and she did it in a manner [sarcastic] that just fell in tune with our humor at the time.

I agree after probably 2 years of her show, it seemed like she made some money and garnered some fame and the humor turned sour and wasn't funny any more. I hear what you are saying about the nasal tone that she acquired being similar, to nails on a chalkboard. It seems all little girls are born with that particular tone of whennnh that just hurts my ears. I agree, Roseanne's voice was, that tone, and I too couldn't listen anymore without hearing damage.

I liked Whoopi in one show. That was Ghost with Patrick Swayze, other than that I can't recall enjoying her performances? I don't go to Hollywood for world analysis. I remember Sean Penn giving political analysis about Iraq when he flew over there to decide if the US should go to war and reported his findings to America. JFC, what a blow-hard.

Whoopsie has made an entire career out
of being the untalented token black woman
on the edges of Hwood. I refused to watch
that Star Trek series just because she was
in it wearing a funny hat sometimes.

Sister Act? Sister Act 2? C'mon, man! ;)
