I think it is still new enough that this will happen. I looked at the ticker the other day and noticed it was above $500! Wondering if I should buy on the next pullback.

Look into the Finland bitcoin.... free enrollment. Every Finnish adult automatically enrolled.

Some speculators like the volatility.

Sweden and Ecuador are leading the way in digital currency. Ecuador uses the US dollar since 2000 and Sweden uses the Swedish Crown which is within 1% of the Norwegian Crown (but off quite a bit from Danish and Icelandic Crown).

Mar 2015 the price of bitcoins were in the $200 – $300 range. Right now they are $739 apiece. In November 2013 - Bitcoin hit an all-time high of $1,242 when it came close to the price of an ounce of Gold.

Bitcoins are back to $1050 as of today.

The Canadian mint's experiment in digital currency, the Mintchip, was sold to a private startup last year.
