BTW, today is Yom Hashoah, Israel’s
Holocaust Remembrance Day. It's
when we remember that the Jews god,
Yahweh, deserted them and let his
own people die by the millions.

If anyone, especially EB, wants to prove they absolutely disbelieve in god, I'll give you $10 for your soul.

$100 and it's yours. I don't sell
anything for 10 bucks.

You have two choices here. Either god
exists and is a monster because he lets
things like this happen to beings he
supposedly 'loves'. Or there is no god
at all.

Only 2 choices, really?

What about a God who gives us hope when we suffer and gives us eternal life. The only monster you seem to choose is a monstrous nature that has the last word nullifying all meaning and purpose to life. I choose to reject the idea that life is just an uncaring meaningless existence. The thing is by even asking this question you also reject the idea of a monstrous nature. By being deeply hurt by the suffering of children and the Jews you are boldly proclaiming that it should be different. That life has more meaning and that death and sorrow do not get the last word. You are more of a theist than you realize.

the evidence points to that conclusion.

What is this evidence you speak of?

Why are you so mean and disrespectful? God would never desert anyone. God suffers with His people and comforts them with everlasting life and justice against those who commit such evil sins.

What about a God who gives us

And blah blah blah. You can make
up hundreds of gods qualities
when he's a complete fiction. The
truth is, he does nothing to help
anybody, and when a random chance
happens of course god gets the
credit. But never the blame, why is that.

He sure deserted the Jews in
the Holocaust. They prayed
and prayed, even had organized
group praying, and it did no
good. Many who survived lost
their faith entirely. Reality
will do that to a person.

Studies about prayer, do you still not realize how silly that sounds?

Not to those that paid for them,
some cost millions and lasted
years.

Silly you is correct. Juries are about one
side or the other winning. Religions are
about making a small priest class powerful

They absolutely want it, that's a documented

How dare you say that prayer did nothing? You don't know anything about which you speak.

I say it pretty easily when you consider
it did nothing to end the Holocaust.

If God answers prayer, why didn’t he answer the prayers of the faithful Jews during the Holocaust? Or of the faithful Christians who also suffered torment and death at the hands of the Nazis? If God is concerned to answer my little prayers about my daily life, why didn’t he answer my and others’ big prayers when millions were being slaughtered.. We live in a world in which a child dies every five seconds of starvation. Every five seconds. Every minute there are twenty-five people who die because they do not have clean water to drink. Every hour 700 people die of malaria. Where is God in all this?

God is where he always is, nowhere
to be found. We live in a physical
world, not a spiritual one.
