Has any of the horrible things
these whack jobs predicted
come true? Name just one.
All my life I've heard we're
running out of oil, food,
water, fish, air, you name it.
Yet here we are, the fake
deadlines come and go and
people still listen to the same
crackpots.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

In 1973 they said the oil would be gone. Since then we have pumped every drop they said we had but yet today's proven reserves are greater than then!

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

When I was in junior high in 1961 we were
told that in 50 years there would be 7 billion
people on the planet and most of them will
be starving because of a lack of food. They
actually got the population almost correct,
but they're 100% wrong about the food.
There is a food glut in the world, there
is plenty of food, we just lack the ways of
getting it to people who need it the most.

Nobody ever takes into account the ingenuity
of people and their ability to solve problems.

The big problem on food is how we handle the aid. I have worked a Haiti fundraiser a few times and the last time they stressed how we are destroying the place with aid. We give piles of food and put farmers out of business then they cannot feed themselves. Same with all the clothes we send down there. Of course the same problem happens in Africa and any other place.

Has to be a better way.

Isn't the country of Haiti kind of a lost cause?
No matter what we do or don't do it's always
going to be Haiti. Kind of like Mississippi, are
they ever going to be anywhere but last place
and every demographic. It's hot, it's humid, it
has no natural resources. It just sits there and
breeds mosquitoes.

I think the real problem is it came out of a slave revolt and even 220 or so years later never had a base of educated people to run it right. Now it has an overpopulation problem. For some reason it has found a place in the hearts of many Americans who keep trying to help but the help keeps hurting. But that is it's own thread.

I like Mississippi. I could definitely live in a few cities there. Besides, I always wanted to be the smartest guy in a state.
