It depends what you mean by wealthy. If you take all people with net worth over $5million, as an example, I'd bet that Republicans far out number Democrats. Of course there are many VISIBLE examples (athletes, hollywood, extreme wealthy {Gates}) that are Democrat. I'd say more 'old money' is still Republican than Democrat. I'm frankly surprised Paco is asking this question rather than answering it! Since I get a vote, my vote is Republican. |

Ed, this is truly an embarrassing post. I am a Republican, mostly. Given that I feel I must choose between Democrat and Republican in this real political world I live in. I assure you I earned all my money, and by any metric I am 'smart'. You really think that all smart people are Democrats? So is Chelsea Clinton a Republican? She will be rich into the hundreds of millions by inheritance.... |

Conservative and Liberal are just as difficult. I am against the death penalty in most situations and PRO-ABORTION (not pro-choice). I am also against many social programs and I think a lot of our tax money is wasted. I make a good living and pay as little taxes as I legally can and vote against almost anything that will raise taxes. Am I Liberal or Conservative? At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

Given your Nihilistic views, seems Anarchist would fit you best. If you have a mote of sense to show you how that couldn't work, then Libertarian would likely be your next best bet. On topic, it doesn't matter. The fact that ANY, let alone the entirety of, politicians are millionaires off public service is revolting. Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it. |
