I think all people are worth mourning for someone. I just don't understand mourning because someone was good at basketball and bad at rape coverups.

Judging people who mourn seems even more worthless than questionable mourning. In fact, you're just making trouble for no reason. The person is dead and gone. You didn't care about him in the first place but others did.

Now if you want to go piss on his grave when no one is around--that seems fine. Hurts no one.

He was a pro sports player. Not
somebody important, like
Hemingway dying, or Ike. For
me, watching sports is like
Chinese water torture. Please
make it stop.

Learn to bet sports, makes all the difference. You only care about a spread, but it is something.

i would agree as to the "mourning" but would think it proper for motorists to yield right of way to a funeral procession irrespective of the identity of the corpse.

If you are not a basketball fan, I can understand not mourning
If you are a Lakers fan, I can understand mourning
I'm in between. I'm a basketball fan but always rooted against the Lakers. So mourning just a little.

I would speculate that I watch more sports than anyone else on this forum. I would speculate that 98% of the time I am in front of a television sports is on it.

I just place very little value in human life. Other than my wife and kids I don't think I will mourn for anyone. I have also been very fortunate in that I have never lost anyone close to me. Not many people over 50 years old can say that. Maybe if and when I lose someone close I will have a different perspective on it.

Kirk Douglas has finally died. (Don’t mean that to sound mean, just feel like he’s been half dead for a while now).

He made it to 103. Very impressive.

Got to be close to last of old Hollywood stars.

(I haven't decided where old Hollywood and new starts, but I'm sure Kirk is still old Hollywood)

Can you believe Michael Douglas is 75?
