Sweden has no mandatory mask policy and has never had any universal lock down. It got hammered by Covid when the rest of the Europe did and now ticks along on a steady and consistent death rate of about 5 a day. The virus has mostly run its course there on the same schedule as in the European countries that locked down. We only think we can be in control of the spread of this virus. We are however making good progress in the treatment of those that do get it.

Just humor me... how many dead in NY under Cuomo’s ‘leadership’ compared to Florida under ‘dumb’ DeSsntis?

And please don’t tell me Miami and Orlando and Tampa don’t have slums...

The governor has created A situation where no one who is vulnerable is safe going anywhere. People will be standing and sitting too close and without masks in greater numbers. But the virus will still work the same way.

Just humor me... why do you bring up Cuomo when we evaluate Desantis's Job?
I think he's doing a crummy job.
What matters is what is happening in FL
Whats happening in Florida totally sucks
Desantis is to blame.
Cuomo has nothing to do with the virus disaster in FL
I'm thrilled I got out of that state with my health

You’re a doctor. You know better than this. NY got hit hard way earlier than FL. Of course the death rate was higher there.

Such an intellectually dishonest comparison. But you’re not the first rightie to try it.

The Economy that was pre-Covid-19 will show signs of coming back as third quarter earnings reports detail a rebound in consumer demand. The 33 million unemployed will be spending their $50K in annualized Fed & State UI weekly benefits, for most being Unemployed meant a raise. The still employed will deploy pent up demand on a re-opened economy, having money saved from buying less gasoline and eating more at home during the two plus month lock down. Have to wait until October for 3rd Quarter earnings, but Amazon hiring a 2nd round of 100,000 employees seems like a good sign

The July and August Jobs Numbers will be key data points determining if re-hiring is taking place as the $600/week in supplemental UI benefits dries up for most. Bad numbers will help Biden's Candidacy. July Jobs Numbers +1.8M, unemployment falls more than expected to 10.2%, August Jobs Numbers +1.4M, unemployment drops to 8.4%. Sorry Sleepy Joe & The Hoe, no help for you here, looks like re-hiring is happening

Counteracting that fact pattern, Biden will have stumbled through answers at several awkward moments during the Presidential Debates and look like a teetering old man when asked to perform as a functioning human in the public spotlight. Have to wait a few short days for this one :-)

Trump will win FL/AZ/NE/NC & WI at a minimum to gain the required 270 Electoral Votes and may pick up PA or MI along the way. Have to wait till November on this one

RGB gets replaced on SCOTUS with Trump Nominee Snap, that was quicker than expected and Breyer doesn't make it 4 more years. SCOTUS goes 7-2 Conservative/Strict Constitutional Interpretation. Completion of this in 2021, be patient already!
