I think it's funny The right wingers started it We on the left are just taking it to the bank Because It was a fake syndrome that righties used (I have praised Trump) But it's a real syndrome to describe righties They hate Fauci. Not dislike but actually hate I dont get it The only way to describe this illogical hate is Fauci derangement syndrome Go ahead. Try to have a substantive conversation about Fauci with say Tanko or AZ or EB. Yeah, they spent 4 years responding to everything with “TDS.” They opened that can of worms, no going back now. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Wrong + Wrong = Right? Wrong * Wrong = Right? Hmm...I guess if wrongs are negative and you multiplied them together you would get a right(s). Do rights and wrongs follow math rules? Why is it a fake syndrome when they use it and a real syndrome when the left uses it? Are you trying to convince me that nobody on the left hates Trump, not dislikes, but actually hates? What conversation would I have about Fauci? I've already said that Tanko, in my opinion, made a substantive point. Fauci was talking about Trump publicly advocating in support of the vaccine and Tanko pointed out that Trump had already done so at CPAC. The only aspect of Tanko's post that I disagree with is calling Fauci a liar for that reason. However, if Fauci was aware that Trump made those comments at CPAC, then Fauci would be lying. If he was not aware, then he simply made an incorrect statement, which is not lying. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. Sherman |

That perspective will certainly improve the level of political discourse in this country. I'll just say that if Republicans ever control the Presidency and both Houses of Congress again, whatever happens, this is the sort of statement that has made the bed of the left. So, whatever the consequences, they are of no concern to me. Same goes for the right, of course. "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen..let us give them all they want." William T. Sherman |

Why the intense hatred? Here is the reason The virus took down the Trump Presidency The virus itself is not a convenient political enemy Fauci is a convenient political enemy yet in reality, he's the best thing in both administrations. The Fauci hate is intense and illogical He makes a minor mistake and conservatives scream intentional lie Their hatred is absurd Trump hated a lot of people and acted on it Fauci doesn't hate anybody Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

That may possibly be true in some cases, but in this case, he made a defensible statement about something Fauci said. The defense, "Of course Fauci knew what Trump said at CPAC." Of course, I don't know what reason anyone would have to believe what Fauci did or did not see. I imagine he's a fairly busy guy, from what I can tell, mostly doing interviews on news and commentary shows. I also find it interesting that you essentially created a logical progression that might lead to someone hating Fauci. I'm not saying the hatred is itself logical, but the progression is. Anyway, the left harped on Trump all the time over minor things. I honestly didn't understand it. Why go back-and-forth over nit-picky stuff when the fact that he's a piece of human garbage with almost zero redeeming qualities as a person would suffice? What would you have considered minor things that the left harped on Trump about? |

I'm not going to get into the game of listing examples and having them analyzed for whether or not they are, "Minor." It's subjective anyway. Actually, this Chris person can do my work for me: https://wlos.com/news/local/analysis-the-51-most-outrageous-lines-from-donald-trumps-nc-rally
I thought these lines were supposed to be, "Outrageous"? I get it, fifty-one is a fun number if you don't like even numbers and can be very difficult to get to. But, is it really that outrageous that Trump used the word, "Beautiful?" Am I supposed to be startled or shocked by his use of the word? Should I be outraged that he would use such a word?
And, as Chris-something wrote this, Trump continued to earn it. I know ignoring problems doesn't always make them go away, but it sometimes does.
Oh, so winning a Presidential Election is not a big deal? I wonder why this guy is covering the President and analyzing his every sentence, then.
Trump got 41% of the tens of millions of women who voted. Is that not tremendous? How many votes has the writer of this article ever received in a Presidential Election?
Um...okay? How is what Trump said even arguably wrong, here? I mean, forget outrageous, how is it even incorrect? He even says he doesn't know after.
Haha! I don't even care; that shizz was funny, yo.
How is that an outrageous statement for Trump to make?
Not that I would expect the writer to know, but Donald Trump (when POTUS) was the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Ergo, they were his generals. Just like any higher ranked person in the military might call those under him, "My men," or a manager might say, "My employees," or a quarterback might say, "My receivers." That's supposed to be outrageous?
Um...he's complimenting a baby? This guy is literally implying that Donald Trump calling a baby beautiful is outrageous. I am outraged. And horrified. How dare someone compliment a baby. Anyway... Anyway, this is what I got to hear about, almost incessantly, for four years. I'm not just talking about writers, but even the rank-and-file Leftists. You'd hear it in person, see it on Facebook and everything else...every single word that Trump said for four g*****n years was front and center at all times. If I didn't know better, I'd think any number of Democrats were in love with him, such was their obsession with the man and everything he said. It's pretty simple: Trump is an unlikable and non-Presidential @$$40!3 who was needlessly divisive---even after he won. That's all that I really need to know. On occasion, just like you might eventually hit the bullseye if you blindly throw enough darts at a board, he would say something funny or manage to come off as charming. But, then you have articles like this and any number of other people griping about the guy constantly and everything that he did. I'm not going to lie; it was enough to make me dislike some of them more than I dislike Trump---and that's a high bar! For the record, I didn't remember that article specifically for any reason. I just selected a date range on Google and my search terms were, "Trump criticisms ridiculous." With that said and in fairness...I don't know about outrageous, but a good twenty of the quoted statements were arguably pretty dumb. Imagine working in Fauci's position during the Trump administration and that you'll have be aware of everything Trump says on coronavirus so you'd be informed on whatever is on Trump's mind. That right there is a prescription for insantity. Fauci worked with 5 other Presidents and I'd guarantee he never heard such nonsense coming out of the 5 other leaders regardless of the political position. As soon as he had no reason to listen to Trump, what do you think he did?. Same thing most sane people would do who had his job. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
