As to residences I cannot believe the apartment conversions in my town. No new builds high enough to affect the skyline but people are clearly warming to this life.

I am shocked to see Henderson on that list. I would not have guessed that. I am also surprised that Scottsdale is there just given their geography. I'm sure the fact that it is expensive is the reason why.

People generally leave townhomes and single family homes for apartment living because they want to walk to places to party, eat and drink or listen to music. Both capital cities Madison WI and Harrisburg PA have thriving nightlifes for relatively small cities. But you don't see huge numbers of surburbanites moving into Harrisburg apartments like you see in Madison.

Harrisburg nightlife???

I have it pretty good, duplex but can walk to things. I predicted walkabiliy in the late 1990s. I keep wondering what I will do if I hit it big in crypto. My neighborhood is lower middle class but the walkability I will miss if I have to move.

Even in the expat vidoes I would want to live in a walkable place.

Henderson has only one significan minority group. Omaha (which is next on the list) has two significant minority groups

HENDE: White (Non-Hispanic) 195k | HISPANIC POPULATION 53.9k people
OMAHA: White (Non-Hispanic) 308k | HISPANIC POPULATION 68.7k people | Black or African American (Non-Hispanic) 56.5k

My wife sold her house a few years
ago and got an apartment. I hate it,
I hate even visiting. Nothing but
rules and restrictions. From parking
to pets to noise. Where I live I can't
even see a neighbor in the summer,
can play music as loud as I want
and own as many vehicles as I
want. I can target practice with
my guns anytime, try that is an
apartment complex. I can have
a fire in the pit 365 and nobody
cares.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

The tunnels of Guanajuato, Mexico, centuries old and still used a streets, under the city.
The city itself is very walkable partly because there is no traffic in the city center.

One of the reasons I like Guanajuato MX. BJX airport has excellent nonstops to the US.

Volaris nonstop flights from BJX:
Chicago–Midway,
Chicago–O'Hare,
Fresno,
Los Angeles,
Oakland,
Sacramento,
San Jose (CA),
Dallas/Fort Worth (suspended),
Las Vegas (suspended),
...
Cancún,
Mexicali,
Puerto Vallarta,
San José del Cabo,
Tijuana,
Ciudad Juárez (suspended),
Hermosillo (suspended),
Mérida (suspended),
Mexico City (suspended)

American Airlines Dallas/Fort Worth
United Airlines Houston–Intercontinental
