1nickelmiracle Member since: Mar 5, 2013 Threads: 24 Posts: 623 | I know of 2 license plates I have seen in Ohio which must have gotten past censors or snuck in on loopholes. One plate I have seen a few times and believe it to be NATVSX or NTVSX. I read it native sex, but it's probably argued to be native Sioux. The other I saw in about 93-94 driven by 2 blond women who were probably cougars in their 30s because they seemed to troll at teenage hangouts a bit too often. Their license plate was I DO XL. I doubt that one exists anymore and was probably not renewed at some point. One other strange license plate I have seen, only had a few numerical digits and was max 4 digits. I can't remember what state it was, but it was probably a small NE state. |

I've got two of them, an old one and a new one. I'll post pictures later. Click on image for larger version. For now, let's talk about the Bahamas. One thing I try to accomplish is to get a license plate from every country I've been to of the style at the time I was there. I went to Grand Bahama island around 95 or 96. The plate still in use at the time was the "Landfall" series, celebrating the 500th anniversary of Columbus' arrival in 1492. They say San Salvador island is the first island in the New World he set foot on. I was having some difficulty obtaining one. Just by chance, I happened to wander past a motor vehicle department so thought I would ask if they had any old ones I could have. Quite by surprise they said I could buy junk plates for $5 each, or something like that. So, I fished through a box of old plates, and quite a bit trash, for about two dozen really nice ones, from as many different islands as possible, as I knew I could sell them for much more than $5 back in Baltimore, where I lived at the time. However, the lady said it was limited to two per person. Fortunately, my wife was with me, so I could at least get four. However, I talked the lady there into selling my six, one from each of six different islands represented in their box of scrap license plates. Well, of course that set me off on the journey to get all the other islands. There are 19 total different license plate districts in the Bahamas. It has been slow going adding to that little corner of my collection. Here is what I have so far. I indicate the population because the value is negatively correlated to the population. I also list some closing eBay prices for some of them. Hopefully I can get some more of them in Reno later this month.

I saw the following Connecticut license plate this past Friday: I found it amusing, hence having taken a picture of it. I assumed it was short for "douchebag," but I suppose it could also stand for "dirtbag." Here's a vanity plate story I remember seeing some time ago: |

That's like calling the cops on someone who's whistling dirty tunes. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

My memory was faulty so I replaced the part you quoted with the YouTube video that had the facts. It was Colorado, not California, and it was the state that denied the vanity plate from the very beginning, plus I was a little off on what the letters were. |
