Trump is on trial in NYC facing 34 counts for falsifying business records related to a payment to a porn star.

The money was paid by the Trump Organization from a corporate slush fund. Which is legal.

The money didn't come from his campaign funds and didn't cost taxpayers a dime.

Congress on the other hand, has its own slush fund using taxpayer money to silence sexual misconduct complaints against members.

'Congress paid out $17 million in settlements.'

'According to the OOC data released Thursday, there have been 268 settlements.'

People can rail against my criticism of both sides having similarities, but this truly is one of the many issues where both sides have scum and do their best to cover it up. It is what Congress does--they protect themselves at the cost of being hypocrites and take the actual cost of their malfeasance from the public. Sure, it isn't everyone there. The problem is that they are our representatives and we deserve to know the good, the bad, and the ugly about them.

They should open up the books and let the people who elected them decide whether to retain or dismiss them.

This has been going on for a long time. No one will do anything about it. Where are the leaks?

The funny thing is, dozing off in court is probably pretty common. Especially in boring procedural stages that the trial is currently in.

But when you spent years calling your main political opponent “Sleepy Joe,” people are gonna mock you endlessly for it.
