That is a terrible equivalency. "Palestine" is complicated, but there are two primary territories, West Bank and Gaza. Hamas controls Gaza. West Bank is more normal (different government -not Hamas-). Also, West Bank is where there are more legitimate policy disagreements (IE settlements.) Many people who protest in support of Palestine are often doing so in support of West Bank (and often against Israeli settlements.) Even saying most of Gaza wants Hamas would be misleading (they won one election once in 2005 after Israel ceded the territory, and have been killing their opposition in Gaza ever since -and probably won that initial election falsely-) You will be hard pressed to find somebody more pro-Israel than me, but I am just admitting that you can support "Palestine" without it meaning you support or even vaguely like Hamas. Now, do not get me wrong, most of these "Queers for Palestine" people are (generally) useful idiots who know nothing about the history or military dimensions (and are often being mentally tricked into supporting a cause that they understand very minimally under the guise of standing for the oppressed in their mind.) In fact you do not even need to cite this group, many people who support Palestine know very little about it, and are often influenced by antiemetic propaganda. It is not equivalent to Nazi Germany because there is not a unified government over all Palestinian territories. If people had signs specifically in favor of the government of Hamas, that could be a valid comparison. One optimism I have about this current conflict, is that when Israeli clears Gaza (which if they are wise, they will follow through with and not bend to external pressure -though who knows-), Hamas will be removed permeantley and things can start to rebuild peacefully. I think one thing that (sane) people would agree on is that the removal of Hamas is empirically good for both Israel and Palestine. While a Gaza ground invasion will be messy and unfortunate in the short term, it will save decades of back and forth attacks. |

Come on, be honest with yourself. They are supporting Hamas because they are generally against Israel for what reason I cannot figure. Other than the lefty "support any underdog" mentality how could they support these people. There is currently a big anti-Israel mood among campus liberals. Hamas won the election and it was certified. Per the left it can not be contested.
It is totally equivalent. We have this weird thing in the USA these days where you have to say, "well, not every X hates us" when talking about an enemy nation. A big reason why the USA will never win another protracted war.
Hamas will just be replaced by another radical group that wants to destroy Israel. Modern lefties are incapable of understanding the reality of the level of hate the average Palestinian has for Israel and the Jews. They think we can just say, "can't we all get along?" It will never change and will never be fixed. Israel thankfully knows this. The best solution today would be evacuate everyone from Gaza to Egypt and make Gaza part of Israel. Similar to East Prussia after WWII. The President is a fink. |

Egyptian President Sisi has already told them they are not welcome in Egypt. Iran has strong ties to Venezuela. Gaza is on the Mediterranean. Iran can fill ships with thousands of them for transport to Venezuela. They can also begin flying them by the thousands out of Yasser Arafat airport in the Gaza Strip, to Venezuela. Once there, they can easily make it to the US border, where they will not be stopped from entering the country. They're probably already doing this to sneak their agents into the US. House Republicans introduced a bill to days ago, to prevent the intake of Palestinians, but it will be blocked by the Democrats. |

That is some bizarre logic. If they are going to be shipped to Venezuela and hike through multiple countries to cross the border illegally how would a bill limiting visa access be effective? The idea that Iran is going to load up the population of Gaza onto a fleet of boats, ship them to Venezuela and hope that they all walk to the American border is a next level conspiracy. And, if this were somehow true, making stricter visa requirements would do nothing to stop it.... |

missedhervee Member since: Apr 23, 2021 Threads: 96 Posts: 3103 | Makes more sense for Iran to welcome all the Palestinians to emigrate to Iran. Oh wait...nobody WANTS the Palestinians, they're basically untouchables in the Arab world. Maybe they can join the unwanted gypsies isolated in Lunik 9 in Slovakia? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG4aYsvgchA&t=1s Sucks to be them. |

They're going to end up here one way or another. No reason to speed up the process by issuing visas. 'The bill, “Guaranteeing Aggressors Zero Admission Act,” — dubbed the GAZA Act — would prevent the Biden administration from issuing visas to Palestinians.' |
