The WSOP was officially cancelled today. It was scheduled to start on May 26, I guess Caesars doesn't think things will be open on May 1.

I think its like some neighborhood shooting spree in the dead of night. Everyone hits the floor and as the gunshots seem to taper off, a few brave but also perhaps foolish people want to poke their heads up. No one wants the publicity of being the first to "re-open" the economy and no one at all wants the publicity of "New Corona Source traced to "x-event"

Financial pressure, rumors, misinformation will all play a role.

Whenever they decided to reopen, social distancing is likely to be in place. Sitting around a full poker table will likely not be acceptable for a good while. Same with other table games...full tables are gone for a while. I would say at least 3 more months.

If by social distancing you mean being at least 6 feet away from the closest human, then at a regular BJ table that isn't three customers, it's two. It's not every other slot machine, it's every third. A bank of 8 urinals? Only two at a time.

If you think that the masks are effective, then allow full tables. I think the 'only half of the seats' solution is silly. If you don't think the masks are effective, don't allow the casinos to open.

I'm not the one that is making the rules; these are some of the solutions already talked about for Las Vegas. Of course, who knows what will happen.

I think there must be more than you think, but way less than many on the right think. And if talking Presidential election, you can be pretty sure that no state that went Democrat would have been Republican if every illegal vote was found. I'll guess between 5,000 and 50,000 nationwide. Final guess.... 6,286.

My stance on voter fraud is clear. I want all reasonable steps taken to prevent it. You think requiring someone to prove they are who they say they are is onerous and unfair. I disagree. And as stated repeatedly, I'm willing to make it free to get whatever voter ID is necessary.

I'm lazy.... Do you need an ID to vote in England? Spain? Australia? Bulgaria? Etc....

I'll bet pacomartin knows....

Actually, I think your guess may be low...

And I would have no problem with voter ID laws if they made completely free to obtain the required ID.

What illegals really like doing is risking their job, family, home, and deportation to a country they haven't lived in for years to cast an illegal vote.

And if anyone believes that... I got a bridge to sell them.

What risk? No voter ID nobody will ever know. Motor Voter allowed them to illegally register when they get their illegal alien drivers license.

It has been a many years thing, but they are for sure voting. Hence the fight against Voter ID.
