As expected, Shri easily lost the Dem primary last night... and racist Republicans lost a scapegoat in the process.

On the bright side, John James won the GOP Senate primary. I'm sure rural Michigan Trump voters are just going to looooove him! *snicker*

He lost embarrassingly badly. He horribly
miscalculated. He looked at Trump, who
never held office, and was a businessman
outsider, and won. So Shreeeee thought
it would work for him. Trouble is, he's
a moron. Did he not think the press would
find out he owned a company that tested
chemicals on dogs, and when it went
bankrupt, he abandoned the animals.

When that news hit last month, he dropped
in the polls like the sinking ship he was.

Upthread tidbits:

Departmental GroupThink: Consider that Kyron Horman "missing" kid case. The entire county starts out being sheriff's territory but as development takes place towns incorporate and the new cities form their own police forces thus carving up the territory and turning the sheriff into a jailor. Eighty percent of his time and budget go to prisoner transport but he remains the chief law enforcement officer in the county and when some kid goes missing in the tiny little fragment of the county that remains his area, he has no idea what to do.

Its the same way with Fire Departments: they become more akin to ambulance companies doing largely medical runs and do not know what to do in a structure fire. Rural departments feel the desire to protect homes but they really can't do it since they lack resources. People moving into heavily timbered areas always want other to have fireproof roofs and walls and no vegetation near them. Winds grow, sparks fly and fires spread. Nature doesn't change, people moving to the area don't either. So its either divert resources to protect homes and lose or let it burn.

Vegas shooter: Yeah the file is closed. No motive found but that is because they were quite careful not to look too hard for one. Yes, he lost money. He was a gambler, it was not his first losing streak. Yes, he was selfish, probably had been all his life. Yes, he tried to sue a casino for his own drunken stumbling, so what zillions of people try to do that. His Newly Changed Behaviors were not investigated: aversion to germs, claims that he could smell cleaning fluid in rooms, his travel to Philippines, his consumption of sushi... all this heightens the likelihood of parasites but if they had looked it would be politically a nightmare to have found anything.

Election results; local candidates often think they will ride National Party coat tails. it usually does not happen.

Darn it Fleastiff, why do you think they would cover up parasites? Somebody always stands to make money offering treatments for the same thing.

Just 'cause someone is trying to protect their interests in someone not knowing, there's always someone who can make money on the backend.

If you can't sell a cure, you can still sell body bags, graves and fake cures. No reason to cover anything up.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

They know what the motive was, we
all do. He got sick of losing, and
he thought the games were rigged
against him. So he sought revenge.
Hit the casinos where it hurt, kill
a bunch of tourists and kill business.

But Vegas cops can't say that, it makes
the casinos look bad. It's like a guy
who works for a drug company goes
nuts and shoots 40 people while he's
whacked out on his own companies
most popular drug. Why would they
ever admit that. Vegas cops know the
truth, everybody who gambles knows
the truth.

Pity you didn't contact the investigators in a timely fashion.

>>> He got sick of losing, and he thought the games were rigged against him.
It took him years to come to this conclusion????

>>>Hit the casinos where it hurt, kill a bunch of tourists and kill business.
He looked at some events that had no connection whatsoever to casinos.

There is no motive that makes any difference.

He was a post office retiree. Have you known any people that put in a lifetime at the post office? They are all a bit ''quircky", like ham radio operators. Just a bit off.

When you were in business, once in a while you could tell people to f.o. Postal guys can't do that, they have to continually at least pretend like they don't want to kill customers. I couldn't do it. I learned when I had my food concession trailer, I could take anyone for up to three minutes, or the amount of time to get an order out the window. Burgers took the longest.

Even down here at the county dept., they can dish it more, because I actually need something from them and they know it. But not the postal workers, they just got to stand there and take it. Day after day of taking shit off people. It's a wonder there haven't been more shootings.

Yes, a lot of firms 'invent' a disease and hype the public into being afraid of it. They can sell drugs, masks, seminars, pixie dust, apply for grant money, but certain dogma remain:
Euthyroid Sick Syndrome,
Parasites affect only lower organisms.
L-forms are absurd and were discovered by a female, so ignore them.

Heck one group tried to mandate mammograms for nine year old girls.
HPV vaccine makers hyped the legislatures and are running 'PSA's that are simply fear mongering.
