Not true. The nature of her job and the relationship's brevity and circumstances are irrelevant. Once paternity is established it doesn't matter what the intent of the parties was. The court's interest is in support of the infant.

I think this is correct. When I worked as a claims adjuster for Social Security I often had to deal with paternity issues. Anytime a gang banger was shot women would come out the woodwork claiming his illegitimate children. At the time, late eighties, the thinking in the courts was pretty much that the father is the father and it doesn't matter why.

Women are no longer kept in ignorance of basic biology. Society no longer prohibits any anatomical reference more specific than "down there". Women now have control over their cycles at an amazingly high level and have economic and social alternatives to saying "yes".
Yet the law still focuses on "support of the child" even though Bastardy is no longer a topic in our legal outlines. And the woman is giving discretion in how to spend the money. The child of a millionaire is not expected to eat government cheese or live in squalor. Its all based on percentage of income.

Fair? No. But, as lawyers say, "its the law".

I don't know about Australia, but I'm quite sure in the US he would have to pay child support.

Prostitution is legal in most areas of Australia and I doubt even Australian courts will be friendly to him particularly once he made that first payment.

I believe the rock band Steely Dan was named after a "pickled deer". With internet connections there may be a way for women to get the best of both worlds. Most women view men as a vibrator with rudimentary conversational skills anyway.
