I'm not a hunter. I thought I heard that it was closed this season, then I heard it wasn't. I'm going to google it real quick... yep. Oct 1st it was suspended, Oct 10th it was restored. Google "Eric Frein hunting season".

I always wonder what goes on in the minds of people like this guy. On the one hand, he's all gung-ho military. On the other hand, he's attacking authority. It's messed up and inconsistent. A guy has to go through a lot of convoluted permutations and perversions of logic, a lot of fallacious if/thens, to arrive at the state of mind he must be in now. I think bets are that he's going to get tired of it all and surrender, or kill himself when searchers get close.

In this guys case I would be interested in what his "manifesto" might say (if he has one), as otherwise, it's hard to make sense to ambush a couple cops then hide in the woods.

Was there some sort of long term goal? Was it just revenge? Was he expecting other people to show up? Is there some sort of agenda, and how did this advance it?

Of course, he could have just gone off the rail, and it doesn't make any sense, except to a madman.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Was it Face? Can he be a mod from jail? He fits
the MO. No job, a survivalist, doesn't watch
TV.

I'd like to think I'd never have to ambush and murder someone. But if I did, I'd like to think I could do it without getting fingered. But if I did I'd like to think I could make it more than a few weeks.

Wasn't me. Been too busy turning time and energy into money and humility to be on the lam.

You have a job? A real job, or another cushy
casino position.

Neither. Just grunt work here or there.

Birchwood Pocono airport in 1999 when it was shut down. It had a 2500' runway and was privately owned since mid 1960's. They are going to search the airport today because they feared that Eric Frein set too many booby traps to go in at night.

The airport is only a few miles from Interstate 80. I was under the impression that Frein was hiding in the deep woods. He may have had some basic utilities and sanitary facilities at the abandoned airport.

The Lake next to the runway is at
