There are wild rumors, but the fish Japan brings
to its huge Tokyo market every day is just as
big as it always was. It's greenies and anti nuke
people spreading the stories of a dead ocean.

I have long thought that the movement to return parts of the southwest to Mexico doesn't make economic sense for those that seem to support the idea?

Say NM, AZ. and Calif. are returned to Mexico. What would that do to the wages and benefits of everyone living in those areas? What would it do for the cartels? Somebody makes a fortune by changing the rules, and it is seldom the workers. Who benefits if the min. wage in LA goes from 10$ to 3$ ? That's one of the things people didn't understand about NAFTA when Clinton spoke of global wage arbitrage and all the numbskulls cheered for it. It never was about bringing up 3rd world wages, it was always about lowering 1st world wages, same as the TPP, etc. None of these trade deals are done, to help me .

Nationalism does not always take economic sense into account. Then you have the possibility that Mexicans who support return would assume there would be "land reforms" with land taken from the gringos and "returned" to Mexicans from large farms down to individual condos including everything in between. Who knows what they would be thinking.

Will it happen? Depends on your time frame. 10 years very unlikely. 50 years way more likely. Maybe not everything, northern CA and the Silicon Counties would probably hold out. But say you get a metromess from San Diego to LA having over 50% Mexican population and many speak Spanish as much or more than English and the USD hits collapse. CA cannot fund the welfare state the people there know and love. Social unrest hits, meanwhile Mexico gets more stable. A movement then could be a real possibility.

True that.

Polls crack me up. The Blaze, which is owned
by Cruz supporter Glenn Beck, has a poll in IN
which has Cruz leading by 16 points. The new
NBS/WSJ poll out today has Trump ahead
by 13. Gee, I wonder which one is accurate.
Pollsters think people read polls and decide
who to vote for from them. They don't.

Here is another reason why the left is giddy about the general
9 times Cruz was asked If he will support Trump if Nominated and Cruz refused to answer :-)
This is what happens when you are not adult enough to discuss the issues and instead be a playground bully and get in the gutter with name calling such as LyinTed.

I wish we could just fast forward to November.

Trump v. Hillary

It's going to be a long 6 months. It will be ugly.

But deep down we all know what the outcome will be...

Yup. Rasmussen has Trump ahead of Hillary.

The more Trump solidifies his odds of
being the nominee, the bigger his lead
over Hillary will get.

Hahahaha.

This will be 2012 all over again.

Righties will claim Republican biased Rasmussen is God.

Then end up having a meltdown on election night.

But I wonder - will we be treated to a several months long disappearance from EvenBob this cycle?
