Voting should not be made any easier than it is now.

Why not
Some states have early voting and some don't
its absurd
All states should have early voting

Some employers are not aware of these laws and try to give you a hard time for bringing it up.

Yes, because in most businesses it is a major disruption when someone is not at their post. Nothing in your posts indicates you have ever held any kind of supervisory positions so I do not expect that you understand what a big deal it is. See, your customer wants their product or service and does not care that "your people took time off to vote."

I am willing to bet you would scream if your employer either asked you to work for free for 2-4 hours or else sent you home 2-4 hours early with no pay.

I don't get overtime in my position so I am forced to work late or come in on days off for free all of the time....

Also, I have been in the Army, where being forced to work 7 days a week as late as they feel like (for the same monthly check) is the norm....

As for being sent home in an hourly position without pay due to a slow day, it has happened, but not since High School when I worked at a store (and back then I did not really care since I was living with parents and mostly worked just to work....)

None of those situations are ideal, but they all come with the various types of employment.....

But, its not the point, the point is voting needs to be made more accessible for those that work.
You say its a hardship for employers I agree. Make it a national holiday or allow telephonic or online voting, problem solved for everyone.......

I am currently in a good position
Not sure how long its going to last
Business travel is dead, very little to do
My company did a survey on furloughs and working less
I volunteered for 20% reduction pay working 4 days a week
Just found out my team is exempt, client (one of the fastest growing internet companies in the country) just asked our company not to downsize our team because they want a full team when they travel again

Axios is reporting that Bernie is (finally) suspending his campaign.

Edit: fake news. Bernie campaign people on Twitter are denying.

That is good news...I hope that they hold that position through the crisis...

Voting is plenty accessible. People can make excuses or find a way. Problem solved. For everyone.

And having more days to vote gives the employer more choices to let employees go when work is slow. Just another advantage for everyone.

It is clear he wants to make voting as restrictive as possible so as only to be convient for retired people...

Logic will not win this argument.
