Very true. Little known is that the Montgomery Bus Boycott could have ended in a couple weeks. The bus company was saying, "OK, we get your point" but the government forced them to keep segregated sections for a year over it. At the moment it is masks. But some of us see how they could well chip people and if you were not in line with what the government wants you could not do business. Meanwhile so many people keep begging for rights to be taken away. The bans on gatherings are so totalitarian they should scare anyone who loves freedom to death. But so many people are begging for MORE bans. It makes me wonder if freedom really is a natural human urge. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Is it unconstitutional to shut down an all night noisy house party In a neighborhood, or does the right to assemble on your own property trump other neighbors desire for peace and quiet? Not a valid comparison. We are talking wholesale bans on gatherings over even a small number of people. That is one of the first things a repressive government does. Quit making excuses and look at what is going on here. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

East Germany wouldn't have allowed people to meet in virtual conferences either, if they had had as such. I'm applying the same standards that are already applied to our rights. Free speech doesn't just cover original material like a quill pen. Arms doesn't just cover muskets. You're the one dodging and making excuses. I am not making excuses at all. I am saying any intelligent person should be scared to death at the wholesale banning of gatherings. I do not want to hear, "but you could do it online........." Doesn't matter. Such banning is the stuff of repression. Those not are the kind of people that want to be told what to do and think so bad they will listen to anything. War is peace.
