your resume is one hell of a thing.
Stories they'll tell all their lives, they

I have no problem with people going out, and I am certainly not envious (certainly not of people at Trump rallies).... But, it needs to be responsible, massing together maskless people into a large mob for no reason other than looking good on TV is just wrong....

Anyone who says Trump rallies are executed in a responsible way is simply wrong. This kind of foolishness should not be coming from the President.

Again, the fact that rallies are now canceled due to his diagnosis, is empirically good for society, it will save lives and resources....

We were told that large groups do not cause a danger when BLM demonstrated.

Nobody is forcing anyone to go to a rally. That people like yourself cheer that your right to assemble is taken away is scary. Your rights stripped away and you cheer "for the public good!" Do you realize how many people around the world would love to go to this kind of rally but would be arrested for doing so?

Side note. I worked another poker game last night. About 35-40 people in a standard 2-car suburban garage. Host says "masks are optional........but I know none of you will be wearing one!" Some laughter, but nobody wore one. I might have seen a wife picking a guy up wearing one but am not sure I was busy working things. One guy offered a fist bump in lieu of a handshake but I mentioned that I would be handling the cards and chips everyone was handling all night and he was like, "oh yeah, duh!"

Having a good time like we always had. Having a normal evening. It was awesome. Anyone who thinks people want more masks and more lockdowns is delusional.

You keep setting up this strawman when literally nobody has said this. I can go on for pages about issues with BLM (including COVID), and have, but that is not what is being discussed here.....

Yes, nobody is forced to go to the rally. But, Trump is the President. People follow his lead. He is engaging in dangerous behavior....
The fact that you are equating Trump rallies to riots is humous though....
The President should be leading in responsible behavior.

You are also missing what I am saying. Nobody is taking away his right to assemble (clearly). We are saying his rallies should be done in a responsible way. Ordering staff to take down warning signs, override chair staggering, and group people together is just foolish...
His rallies are conducted in an unsafe manner, that is just a fact..... And, the fact that he is the President makes it worse because people follow his lead....

A home game where everyone knows everyone in a garage is not the same as a rally with thousands of people packed together..... It is also not the same as a public casino with people constantly flowing in and out....

If somebody like Alex Jones led an irresponsible rally, I would not be alarmed, that is par for the course for him.
When the President of the United States does it, it does alarm me because he sets behavior precedent which is something that people here do not seem to be grasping.

You are saying he should not be having rallies. BLM riots "OK" Trump rallies "BAD." To keep calling peaceful rallies "unsafe" is silly. You want to be afraid of life be afraid of life. Some of us are not. You want to hide go hide. The rest of us want to get back to normal. 99.5% survival rate and you are afraid for your life?
