"The two-dose vaccine still works very well in preventing people from getting seriously sick, demonstrating 88% effectiveness against hospitalization and 91% effectiveness against severe illness, according to the Israeli data."

The lady vet who put my dog down in early August is unvaccinated. She says there was no testing done because there was no time and she does not trust a vaccine that has not been tested for long-term consequences. There are going to be long-term negative effects for some people from being vaccinated but we don't have any idea what they'll be. I'll take my chances wearing a mask, a double mask actually, and social distancing. And staying home 98% of the time. I live in a township where 95 + percent of the people have been vaccinated. Let them take the risk, I'm opting out.

Sure, rules need to be made TO ACHIEVE A GOAL, but the goal itself is not simply to enact more rules.

The goal is to save Americans.

But let me ask YOU anti-vaxxers a question: What do you think is the appropriate governmental response to covid, and why?

It's not just a positive test.

Vaccines are rated based on the decrease in hospitalizations, serious symptoms, and deaths compared to unvaccinated...

So saying just "39% effective" based on test results is misleading.

The short term goal for all countries is to reduce hospitalization, especially in America where in many regions there are simply no beds (or very few).... If you test positive and have just minor symptoms and don't require hospitalization, that is a good deal...

I've never claimed 99%
Has anybody here used that figure?
The reason I took the vaccine is to severely lower my chances of being hospitalized
No doubt there are many that got vaccinated, got pretty sick
But
Very few of those were so sick they had to go to the hospital.
