Like flies, like flies. Keep on at the current Covid death rate and 10% more people than normal might die in the the next year.

I’m fine with it, as it seems like a “survival of the fittest” (or least brainwashed) scenario at this point.

I couldn't care a less about a 10% bump in the annual death rate. It all balances out eventually anyway. Maybe it will help keep inflation under control with less people chasing the products that are in short supply.

Or, maybe I'm angry that our County has no hospital beds because of influxes of COVID cases, and there is already a labor shortage of nurses and support staff....

I am fearful of getting in a critical car accident and there being no medical support because of idiots trying to prove a point, while bogging down the hospital further by staying until they get the drugs that Medical Officers refuse to provide to them because they think a news host knows more than the medical staff....

This is when it starts to effect others.

So yeah, I have a right to be a bit upset about the ideocracy around me.

Turn off PMSNBC and live in reality.

I have no power to do anything about what Doctors prescribe, if a Medical Officer writes a prescription, they feel that is the best course of action. The issue is when patients demand Doctors prescribe something that they will not, and hold that bed up while taking the hospital to Court for the Court to make a medical decision....

In any case, the larger issue is people getting hospitized in the first place, which is why there is simply no beds, and not just where I have been, its all over the country. And, the nurse shortage is well known.

A hospital running at beyond capacity with a staff shortage is a recipe for trouble, actually its not, it's already trouble and people are dying.

The National Guard is getting deployed (often by Conservative governors) to provide support, admin, and medical assistance (medical units) in some States (and this will probably expand). Trust me, these Governors would not be sending the National Guard into hospitals (costs the State money, and as far as I know, hospitals are not paying for the service) unless it was beyond critical.

I hope for your sake you are not needing to go to a hospital soon, because you can see for yourself...
