The 2022 issue
Did Trump win in a landslide?
You betcha if you don't want to be primaried.
Its the Trump party whether Republicans like it or not

And the so-called “serious Republicans” won’t come right out and say he won, but will pivot and talk about “voting irregularities.”

Biden is doing a great job
Sorry. I disagree (from afar). He failed to get testing rolled out and he stupidly blurted out a confession of that failure. Technically and politically dumb. He did a rubbish job with Afghanistan and franky he is living up to what Obama said about him having a flair for f***ing things up. I don't blame him for hs lack of successes. He just doesn't have enough influence and is hogtied.
The snipes about him being senile are hitting home even among those that are grateful that he beat trump.
His administration IS WEAK and is hogtied and stymied by the repubs and by the courts and by his own rebels. He simply has no power to wield. The Dems need to find another young, charismatic professional trusted leader. They could use one right now: An influential leader. Hate him or hate him, trump had, and still has influence. Thankfully he is divisive, but not enough to smash the GOP. I wish he were, but I believe he is not.

Don't you see. The count of deaths of those idiots is insignificant. If it killed 25% of the stupid antivax, covid reckless, generally right wingers, it would be worth thinking about. But the surviving righties don't even care about the tiny numbers of their dying peers. We can snigger at or applaud the Herman Cain nominees or lament their loss or even hold them up as role models. But they are not persuading anybody either way. Their numbers are not swinging any voting results at all.

2022, bring it on. Trump going to make sure the major 2022 issue is him losing 2020. You will be primaried if you simply say "President Biden" Thats today's republican party.
trump will have influence and will hopefully be toxic to his party's prospects. But they HAVE embraced him and the ARE preparing to very professionally steal all future elections. WHEN they do succeed, you will have some of the worst of the worst in positions of power and any half decent right wing moderates will have been long discarded. If the reps split their vote and do lose a few seats, fair enough. But the ones that they win will be trumpists and there will probably be enough of them to seize control of both chambers. Then trump gets his get out of jail free card and his cancerous influence will come out of remission.
It's not a future to relish.

He does not succeed because he does not have enough influence? Kind of like saying it is not a kid's fault for failing a class because they are not smart enough for it. You should try for a job with MSNBC, they hire people to write this kind of stuff.

He is failing under the china virus because he is part of the foolish group that thinks if only Trump would have made us wear masks it would all have been over by summer of 2020.

He is failing under everything else because he is following liberal logic. Liberalism generally generates opposite results of what is promised when the plan is enacted. Maybe if he cared about the working man as much as he cares about illegal aliens things would start to improve.

Thank you.
I'm perfectly happy to criticise Biden and the Democrat party in general* Just as I was perfectly happy to criticise trump and his corrupt mob at the GOP. If I could find anything to praise them for, I might do so.
Generally, I just think your US democracy is pretty messed up and heading to the sort of solid, reliable democracy they have in Russia or China: A powerful one party state where everybody votes for and loves the same emperor and god help them if they are for an opposing party. I seriously believe your GOP just want to be that party in power and will choose and worship their chosen emperor by how well he helps them get there. To hell with how toxic he is.
I also see that so far, trump is to be that emperor and we have a vicious circle that will make it so. If not trump, then some charismatic [insert expletive] from the same mold.

I hope this is a joke.

In spite of the idiocy that are the two parties, it still gives us the opportunity to change leadership as we see fit. I'd like to see some folks from both parties eliminated from government. I know the parties "aren't the same" (which is not the point of saying both parties are more alike in desire for power than they are different) but both parties have chumps who should not be in office. Even with them, we survive and even thrive in ways in much better positions than anyone other than the rich in China and Russia.

Liberals and Progressives tend to take us too far towards Socialism; Conservatives get elected to help stem that tide. It ain't perfect, but it is better than the governments most get.

You cannot be serious?! All the Democrat run cities. All the goo-goo worship of Obama. And you think TRUMP is the one who acts like an emperor?! Maybe you forget all the never-Trumpers in the GOP? Maybe over there you never saw the Democrat Party making this?

You haven't considered variance. In short, that's when the plays are essentially correct, but things are going south. Biden has made mistakes, but which leader hasn't?

The question is how much is due to mistakes and how much is out of his control. You're blaming him for things out of his control as well?

Anyway, he has until the end of June, AFAIC.

Personally, of all the things mentioned, the one that is the most problematic is where inflation is going by mid year. I definitely will be surprised if coronavirus is still a big issue mid year. Of course, there is always the possibility some unexpected things will crop up to stymie the administration by then.

Hi Ron,
Not so much a joke as a rather controversial outside opinion.
You seem to have one party hell bent on suppressing your opportunity to change leadership. And they seem to be getting more brazen and uncontrolled. The veneer was peeled off under trump. I wish your nation luck in maintaining a two party system where both parties are patriotic. If you can get a few independents or even a third party, that would be marvelous. How about 50 parties :o)

I agree. You should cherish and defend your system. But for some, undermining the system is a means to an end.

The never trumpers: What became of them? Seem to have been effectively undermined and de-fanged. Any GOP candidate not paying homage to trump and his big lie, is off to the cornfield. So they fall in line like loyal sycophants, while all along just looking out for No#1. Sod the poor saps that they are supposed to represent.
There are idolaters and extremists from both parties. You won't sway me with a few obama or trump placards. Obama supported his publicly espoused improvements/ changes to your social support systems. Trump supported trumps grift and employed and played up to the evangelicals and the worst of nationalism and racism. Where Obama sought to be leader, trump sought to be emperor for life..

Dem run states and cities can expect to be driven to the wall by the next GOP administration, shorting them on any federal spending such as infrastructure. GOP states and cities will be bribed or fooled into thinking they have been bribed.

I don't blame Biden. He used to be sharp as a tack and he seems to have lost that. His lack of control comes with his Senate minority. Can't blame him for that either. I blame your education system and those who influence the ignorant for their own ends.

Biden had better show some real wins by June. The clock is ticking. He could get hit by some bad luck, just as all administrations can. E.g. a war somewhere or extreme global event, or heaven forbid foreign interference. His achievements will have to be massive to carry him through. On present form, 'variance' is not on his side.

The economy and inflation is very much a trailing event. The economy and inflation we see in November has already been caused

Yes. Blocking purging of voter rolls to eliminate dead people and people who moved. Fighting any basic election security. Demanding to allow ballot harvesting. The Democrat Party absolutely is trying to fix elections so they cannot lose!

No, Trump never sought to be or acted like an "emperor." Obama sought to somehow "transform" American society. Trump tried to lead. Nothing about Trump was racist. Much about Obama was and his supporters were and are big racists.

Oh, please. Big cities get their share and always will. Biden does not have a Senate minority.

Yes, blame the education system. The more educated people become the more indoctrinated they become to supporting liberalism. Said system turns out more liberals to keep supporting it. Now it has its customers whining for Biden to give a loan forgiveness for the rich.

What is happening before your eyes is the Democrat Party is becoming the Karen Party. Latinos are not supporting it blindly. Blacks support it but do not get real involved. Who is the most involve is unmarried, college-educated females. IOW, Karens. The type who care more about global warming than jobs and crime. The type who do not live in reality. The type that want to arrest you for not having your mask over your nose. This will not win elections.
