The Biden Presidency 2021

So really the only "social media" I am on is YouTube (purely as a viewer if that even counts), and I am seeing more and more "let's go Brandon" posts. I am not even talking about political videos, it could be a random video game review and the comment section is spammed with them.

I still just don't don't get it. It just seems sad. It does not offend me anymore than any other unrelated spam, but I fail to see how conservatives think this is some epic social movement. I am sure I am missing some deep point about how this is upending the system or something....

All 50,000 of them should just get shirts that say, "I'm a F$^*#%& Moron." It really doesn't take a whole hell of a lot to impress the poorly educated. They're like a bunch of third-graders using their little, 'Code words,' in class...with the main difference being that they didn't even create the code.

Quite frankly, it's pretty embarrassing and you should feel embarrassed on behalf of all 50,000 of them. How about reasoned discourse over fiscal policy? Oh, right, most Conservatives wouldn't even know what the term, "Fiscal policy," refers to. I guess it's better just to go to the local Baptist Church for a potluck and try to work, "Let's Go Brandon," into the conversation as often as possible.

I can almost guarantee that one of these idiots has named a kid Brandon just to have an excuse to use the phrase more often.

I'm not irritated and I'm not a fan of Joe Biden. I'm just commenting to the effect that a huge number of Conservatives are mouth-breathing idiots and the fact that so many of them would latch on to such a stupid phrase only demonstrates my position to great effect.

Many on the Left wouldn't be willing to have discourse on the issues and are perfectly content to either attempt to cancel anyone who disagrees with them, or, best case scenario, live in their own echo chambers without contemplating positions alternative to their own.

Even some of the better ones who will engage a Conservative in discussion will resort to appeals to emotion, and when challenged to demonstrate how their preferred Fiscal policies might be, you know, funded...have no choice but to retreat...or make, "Tax the rich," type statements despite the fact that the rich are already being taxed fairly significantly.

This is what you get when you have a Liberal faced with a Conservative who is actually skilled at debating in favor of Conservative positions. In this one, Malcolm Nance pretty much commits every fallacious debate tactic that exists. I can give you a play by play if you like.

Basically, most of the political discourse in this country has boiled down to:

People with Extreme Ideas Whose Only Tactic is Appeal to Emotion v. Idiots.

Think back to the halcyon days when the crips, in blue, and the bloods, in red, went at each other hammer and tong.

Today simply substitute "democrats"for "crips" and "republicans" for "bloods."

This will not, can not, end well.
