And yet, by some weird twist of fate, 75% of his own party says they don't want them on the ticket in 2024. Yet according to you he was the most popular president in any election in history. Pray tell me, was it the electrifying well-attended rallies that he gave that made him the most popular? Was it his tireless efforts on the campaign trail? He had virtually no rallies and none were well-attended and he spent most of the campaign hiding in his basement in Delaware. So you must be talking about all the fraudulent mail-in votes that he received when you conclude he was the most popular president in any election. Nobody liked him, nobody respected him, nobody likes him or respects him now. He's a senile old joke. Nobody but nobody goes from the kind of popularity it takes to get the number of votes he got, to losing 75% of his own parties support less than a year later. He obviously never had the support .Connect the dots. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

He received the most votes from the election that had the most turn out in US history. There is nothing more to say. This means he is the most popular President in US history. And, even so I am willing to say if there is a better candidate they should be elected because the I do not believe in personality worship. And, I was never a huge fan of Biden to begin with. As for not having rallies during COVID that is not a point of disdain for me (of which there are many legitimate ones for Biden), but something he should be proud of. Trump can have all of the rallies he wants, when he loses by record numbers, its irrelevant how many Twitter likes he gets.... |

Turn out to vote for a guy who was never popular in his entire career, had no accomplishments, was a little girl hair sniffer, and ran the absolute worst campaign in American history. And you think people turned out in droves to vote for this guy. He got the most votes because millions of them were fraudulent. Duh. It's obvious. You don't be the type of person he is, with the record he had, and run the campaign that he did, and get the most votes in history. It's never happened and it didn't happen this time. Remember when Obama won in 08? Was anybody surprised? Here ran probably the best campaign ever. He had thousands of people at his rallies, he was very charismatic and popular. Yet mumbling bumbling stumbling dementia Joe got more votes then Obama did in 08. No he didn't. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Absolutely false. He had the most votes of any candidate for President in history. That is true. His popularity as a President? Not the same thing at all. It is yet to be seen, but the numbers now are not good for him. I fully understand that he can turn them around and possibly become the most popular President (a guy in an actual office, not a candidate before taking office) His history is not yet complete. He is not as popular now as he was when he took office. We will know more when he leaves office. I doubt he will, but I have hope that he will do something to help our country. His current path is to ignore issues, hire incompetent folks, and try to rush through a boondoggle of a bill that will cause pain for all of us who actually work and pay taxes. Again, there is always time until you run out of time... |

I pretty much agree with this post in its entirety, though, "Most popular President in U.S. history," was such an absurd statement on its face as to be not worth addressing. By the same standard, Trump is the second most popular President in U.S. History despite the fact that he lost the Popular Vote. And every POTUS since I don't even know when is more popular than Abraham Lincoln, but only by virtue of the country being more populated than it was then. If I had to look at anything for popularity of a recent POTUS, then I would want to look at what percentage of the popular vote did they get in a reelection campaign because: A.) They were actually President at the time they won. AND: B.) I would think a minimum bellwether of popularity would be getting reelected. Which, since 1900 would be: 1.) Nixon 2.) F.D.R. (first reelection) AND: 3.) Reagan Of course, then you can make arguments about the quality of the opponent and things like that, but I think it's a better metric than what Gandler is using. If you mean the "Cult of personality" Democrats have had a few. JFK, Obama is close enough for modern history. I'd have to question your judgment if you think Biden has ever been in that group. We have no qualified "deities" at the moment. Much as I disliked Reagan, I think it's an insult to compare him to Trump. But Reagan certainly attained that mantle, imo. (Quote clipped, relevance.) I don't know what gives you the impression that I would be a fan of cancel culture or conversations being shut down. I wouldn't exactly call the chants a, "Conversation," though. Also, if you want to say, "F%$*&$^% Joe Biden," then just say, "F%$*&$^^% Joe Biden," except on the Forum, of course. I don't even think the reporter was using, "Let's Go Brandon," as cover for the fact that Biden was being insulted; she was probably using it as cover for the censors not catching the word to mute it and trying to avoid getting fined by the FCC. I seriously doubt that the reporter was trying to cover to avoid the viewers getting insulted...say what you want about Liberals, but they do tend to be educated...and Nascar is statistically most likely to be some Middle-Aged (or older), white, male, non-college educated dumb@$$ Christian from somewhere in the Midwest or the South: http://www.brentsherman.com/PDFS/NASCAR.pdf http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=476206 In terms of messaging, "F^*$&$$#% Joe Biden," is probably the most popular message that they could possibly promote to Nascar viewers, except you can't use profanity on TV and the censors were probably supposed to catch that. That's what was being covered for, not the disparaging comment on Joe Biden.
It's not off-limits; it's just stupid and makes Conservatives look like a bunch of morons. It comes as no surprise to me that adopting it as a rallying cry is what passes for creativity, given the usual demographics of people who identify as Conservative, but again, if you want to say F(^&%&^* Joe Biden, just say that.
