Maybe I used the wrong term in 'disable' as I am sure they want the airport to be able to operational after the US has left. I totally agree with you second paragraph. I also believe that they will be able to prevent the last of the flights from leaving, the final embarrassment for the US military.

The US military leaders should have stage a coup when Bidumb overrode their exit plan. That is what real countries do after crooked elections.

It is ironic that the US government is furnishing billions in arms to our enemy the Taliban, while passing laws on a regular basis to remove even simple hunting firearms away from Americans.

Not to forget "Fast and Furious" where our government provided firearms to Mexican drug cartels.
