Kenerman -- the more conservative a political candidate is, the more likely the left will make any atypical sexual activity about that candidate part of the news cycle if they can.

Because lots of conservatives like to judge people by completely legal sexual activities so it's political negative action that may cause them political damage.

Same thing the right is doing when they attack maskless advocates of the left. Many don't favor masks either but they'll use it to damage the candidate who may have made a big deal out of people wearing masks, but then got caught not wearing one.

I actually tend to agree with you that people should not be posting photos publicly to the internet (its one thing if its on certain sites, but even then you should be careful).

It would be one thing if it was leaked from a confidential event. But, he clearly published many articles (which include) photos publicly. Now, to be fair, most of these seem to be back in the 2014-2016 timeframe, and I am sure he had no idea that he would ever be working for the Whitehouse.

However, to the energy topic, nuclear energy is green energy. And, he seems to have an impressive background, and have the rights views on nuclear energy. Its hard to find people on the left to be supporters of nuclear energy (its often regarded as evil for not well thought out reasons).

I do agree that Biden is seeming to want to meet certain quotas so to speak. And, I think that is a bad precedent. So it would not surprise me if that came up here, however, this guy is very over the top (he is no Pete Buttigieg, IE somebody who could "pass" as a straight person if you just met him in passing or just knew him professionally). So surely they thought about this kind of drama coming out of it.

Again, I have no issue with anything that he is into (obviously have no issue with him being gay), but I do see the point that getting into fetishes in public forums (he wrote articles about it) can be distracting, even if well-intentioned. The more I read about him, the more I don't approve of his behavior, but I am also convinced of his credentials.

It can be one of those cases that the more talented you are, the more you can get away with, he has a very niche specialization (dual masters of engineering and nuclear science), so he is probably not easily replaceable even if employers don't approve of his image.

Almost everything is related to Nuclear Issues, from praising States for allowing nuclear plants to submarine disposal, etc.... Noting even political (outside of nuclear stuff which I guess is kind of political by definition) and mentioning that he accepted an offer from the DOE. (Actually just made it a few months back and I saw one post about some Canadian Conversion Therapy law, but it was very mild, and did not even express support or opposition). In fact his whole Twitter feed looks like his obsession is looking at nuclear stories from around the world. Now, I don't know how Twitter works (don't have an account, never did), so he may have posts that only "friends" can see, and its always possible that he cleaned up his timeline when he learned about the offer. In fact the first thing about sexuality I can see is a random thanksgiving post where he makes a silly meme post saying, "While the husband takes a Thanksgiving nap I am answering @LinkedIn messages listening to circuit music. Yep, sounds like me. (I spend on average 7.2 minutes on LinkedIn every weekday)." Which only in passing mentions that he has a husband.




I will give him the benefit of the doubt that his articles and photos were from a dumber phase in his life (again 2014-2016), and he is more professional now. (Again, I am not saying that activity/fetish is dumb, but putting it out there in such a self-aggrandizing way is). This is one (of many) reasons I deleted all of my social media, no good can come out of it, because even if you post something that is innocent or you feel right on, 10 years later somehow it will be brought up against you and you are forced to defend something you don't even care about anymore.... Unfortunately, when you publish articles and photos on sites owned by others, there is not much you can do, they own it forever (which is kind of true for social media as well, even if they give you the illusion of deleting)....

The left is trying to convert people away from their beliefs continually: global warming, what is racism, their religious beliefs, the right of control of your body from foreign substance, the right to bear arms. Just because you might not agree with those beliefs doesn't make trying to convert people into thinking those beliefs are wrong an acceptable action.
