We have been through this, its population scaling (per capita). That is like saying "California uses way more energy than North Dakota," (in an effort to make California look like bad liberals), while technically true, completely irrelevant (California is larger than many countries and like three people live in North Dakota).

We (Americans) have a high energy lifestyle. Which is not an inherently bad thing, but it means that we need to transition to more sustainable energy.

If you mean per capita then say that, you didn't I can't read your mind. My eyes are old I have trouble reading small things.

Carbon offsets are nonsense and a scam. If these people actually cared they would fly commercial and still buy the offsets if it makes them feel better. Offsets are kind of like the old days of the church where you could pay an indulgence so you would be allowed to sin.

I am not about to believe global warming is a problem when all the people who say they care fly private jets and have their drivers idle their SUVs so the A/C keeps them cool.

Your whole point was a scam. Even if Gandler had been the perfect example you would not have changed your opinion. Stop presenting turds as arguments.

US is 11th PER CAPITA use of energy by countries if that is the way you want to measure it. So it is not number 1 by total amount or per capita. Quit drinking the global warming Koolaid and relax with a beer Gandler, I will join you.

I would happily drink a beer with you, but I never said number 1, I said its high and it is (I think its higher than 11, but I'll take your number for lack of motivation to look it up right now, that is still quite high). Put aside global warming/ climate change (I'm not going to change your view), purely economical, air quality, and sustainable, we need better sources. Actually, we have better sources, but we need to make more of them (nuclear in the short term -and by short term I mean next several decades- until other renewables become more realistic). We already have a silver bullet for clean and reliable energy, but so many States are hesitant to use it (I don't know the situation in Canada, but I would hope its better with nuclear acceptance).

Bill Gates is a billionaire who admits he's a climate activist who flies in private jets. But he also said he spends 7 million a year on carbon offsets through a company that runs a facility that removes carbon dioxide from the air.

My point is spot on. Shows how global warming is a secular religion right down to the indulgences.

So, what if they do?

They're wealthy and I suspect Gates flies private for security reasons primarily.

These actions have nothing to do with proving or disproving the issue; this is just your little cop out.

You still seem to believe in god even though the minister doesn't devote himself to helping the poor and healing the leprous, eh?

He drives a Benz and watches "America's Got Talent" and that's hunky-dory, right?

Point is: we're all hypocrites at times; pay attention to the message, not the messenger.

The minister's life has nothing to do with God. He will have to answer for his behavior on the other side.

Their actions prove that they do not really care, they have one set of rules for themselves and one set for you. Funny thing is if it is "the minister" you get upset. When it is global warming ministers you make excuses.
