Someone re-posted this pic from after one of the FL hurricanes.

she and Joe are getting a big laugh out of the "cracker" T-shirt , which is not a very woke thing to do at all. It's a racial epithet, which admittedly the t-shirt wearer is embracing, however the Bidens should be all-in for zero tolerance on that stuff

A 1783 pejorative use of crackers specified men who "descended from convicts that were transported from Great Britain to Virginia at different times, and inherit so much profligacy from their ancestors, that they are the most abandoned set of men on earth".[33]

Benjamin Franklin, in his memoirs (1790), referred to "a race of runnagates and crackers, equally wild and savage as the Indians" who inhabit the "desert[ed] woods and mountains".[34]

In his 1964 speech "The Ballot or the Bullet", Malcolm X used the term "cracker" in reference to white people in a pejorative context.[35] In one passage, he remarked, "It's time for you and me to stop sitting in this country, letting some cracker senators, Northern crackers and Southern crackers, sit there in Washington, D.C., and come to a conclusion in their mind that you and I are supposed to have civil rights. There's no white man going to tell me anything about my rights."[35]

On November 29, 1993, in a speech given at Kean College in New Jersey, Nation of Islam spokesman Khalid Abdul Muhammad called Pope John Paul II "a no good cracker".[36]

So you’re saying Biden’s actual feelings towards an issue differ from your right-wing media-based imagined version of what he should feel?

Wonder how often this occurs…

that the woman [not Jill?] is pointing to the t-shirt is inescapable

what I'm 'imagining' is the media reaction if DeSantis was the one chuckling over the t-shirt. Maybe he's thinking that, explaining the sour look

I call your hand and refer to the specific term. Could be racist, might not be.

Why do they call them Florida crackers?
Florida Memory • Florida Crackers
The origin of the term “Florida Cracker” is somewhat in dispute. Some say it refers to the cracking sound made by the whips used by early white settlers to herd their cattle. Others say the term comes from the use of cracked corn in making moonshine, a common activity on the Florida frontier.

It's on a Florida license plate picture that always has Florida at the top.

I have yet to see you be off base by too far of a margin.

So I'll look into the negative side.

He's an overqualified used car salesman, he lies all the time. And when confronted with it he always lies about the lies just like a good sociopath. He talks about truth constantly and from my experience anybody that says that they're all about truth they're usually all about the opposite of Truth. People who tell the truth all the time never talk about it they just do it. Read this article, and then see what you think about the Baloney Swami. He is a good looking smooth talking intelligent snake oil salesman with blind ambition who will do anything to get to the top. He's your perfect politician. Because he lies constantly you can bet that everything he says that he wants to do for the country is not what he really wants to do and that's what scares me about him.

More confusion and slurring from Donny. It’s getting worse.

Let me know when it gets as bad as the current President.

They are both to old and in enough decline to not be President. Not everyone declines the same, but there are signs from both of them.

Hey, it is a both parties do it thing again!

I am not sure Trump get elected changes much. He has no coattails and his executive powers are checked by the Supreme Court, which smacks people on both sides down when they go to far. In spite of all his ridiculous words, he actually did a lot of things okay while he was in office but he makes enough people mad that he won't bring people along in lower offices in 2024 and 2026.

My prediction is that a Trump Presidency is more likely to lead to a Democrat winning in 2028 than a Republican.
