I would hope that he national security/public safety apparatus in both state and the Federal governments are now more aware of the potential for unrest and rioting due Donny's propensity for election violence, and will plan deterrence and protection accordingly. Police units in riot gear stationed strategically to make sure any protests or assemblies are peaceful. National Guard units activated in advance and stationed in major cities, state Capitals and in Washington DC to protect the electors, public officials and the Capital Building itself.

What we should be hearing from our Lefties is that they don't really like the guy but will go along with it if it makes the ticket stronger? Note the question mark ... all 'according to this thinking'.

Walz nationalized private industry, eliminated private property, and gave everyone the same pay.

Trump never served in the military at all - he avoided the draft 5 times - 4 times for college and once for bad feet - if he had been drafted he likely would have been sent to Vietnam to fight

Do you wonder why the press is very good at calling out lies or truth-stretching by Trump but not so good at those of the current administration or VP Harris?

I have a long list of questions for Trump that I would like answered. I didn't want him to run again. I can have questions for both candidates. They aren't the same but they are candidates for the highest office in the land. A little scrutiny is called for and maybe it will come for both of them.

The GOP are complete hypocrites when it comes to military service. How will it play? If John Kerry and Swift Boating is any indication, it'll play well with the base.

Most of the comments I see are from people that don't understand the military or how military retirement works. Additionally, temporarily filling the Command Sargent Major role and retiring as a Sargent Major are two different things. As to why he didn't finish his required paperwork from the Sargent Major academy, that is know only to him. All those that want to criticize 24 years of service, are more than welcome to go to a recruiting office and enlist.

Now as to JD Vance, here's his service, a correspondent working in public affairs deploying once for six months. Attaining the rank of E-4.

"Vance served four years in the Marine Corps as an enlisted combat correspondent, in public affairs, and deployed once to Iraq for roughly six months, according to his military record. He left service in September 2007 as a corporal."
