I would defend someone's choice to discriminate against her for her appearance. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

The town I was born in and current live, Weymouth, MA counts 5 MOH recipients among its historical residents. That is the most from any single city or town anywhere in the US. As well, my cousin grew up with and went to HS with another MOH recipient, from a few towns away. He received his posthumously (threw himself on a grenade in Afghanistan). If Donny said what he said here during a live appearance, Secret Service or no Secret Service, he would be tarred and feathered and ridden out on a rail. Which is also something we have historical experience with. There is a long and involved vetting process for the MOH, which involves a vote in both houses of Congress and final approval of the President. The Medal of Freedom? Recipients are selected by the President and the President alone. There is no comparison as to the honor. |
