Florida. “Retire here and die.”

My boss just moved from New England to FL.

I get regular updates on how many storms are blowing through on any given day time and wrecking havoc on his new home.

There are many reasons I wouldn’t want to live there, but I think the weather would be #1. Yuck.

I have been in Florida for about 8 months now. We have only had one what I would call a good storm. We get daily thunderstorms but they are usually just 30 minutes or so and are just a nuisance. Just enough to screw up the satellite signal so the TV goes out. In a couple of weeks I will be MF'ing those storms during Saturday college football.

I prefer "Florida, a great state to die in".

Hey Mike, read the room. There is no republican party, it's the Trump party

There is a local primary for the Republicans in a heavily Republican district south of me. Sort of like a potted plant would beat any Republican in California, a potted plant would beat any Democrat in this district. The adds I’ve seen for (loony) Carl Paladino and his opponent, Claudia Tenney, have gone something like this…. “I sucked Trump’s xxxx more times than you have!” The Tenney ads imply that SHE will impeach Biden once she is elected. One of these two dingbats will be a Congressperson in 2022. The winner will join the ranks of Green and Boebert as the Right’s embarrassment to contrast with the Left’s embarrassment of Omar, Ocasio Cortez, Waters, Talib.

Did I read correctly that Biden’s approval rating is 47% in a RASMUSSEN poll? If he’s at 47 with them, his actual approval rating has gotta be way higher.

Thoughts and prayers to kenarman who seems to derive his happiness from Biden’s polls.

Trump has the lowest average approval rating of any President in our lifetime (I think since Truman or something like that). His "highest" approval rating never went past 49, he never even broke the 50 mark (and his lowest was in the 20s).... Whereas Biden has never dropped below 31% at his worst and his highest was in the mid 60s....

So anyone who thinks that approval ratings are some magic numbers that mean everything, while supporting (or even defending) Trump is inherently contradictory. Or that just need to accept that Trump was a bad President.
