There are actually three nuclear footballs active at all times. Obviously one is always with the President, one is with the VP, and the spare is stored at the White House.

If one believes what has been shown about the process over the years, the codes are in the suitcase. He doesn't have to remember it. I'm sure the process has been revised over the years.

The protocol for using the football and the procedures for launching a nuclear strike are well known and publicly available. Not trying to be a jerk, but the procedures are a lot more involved than pushing the button, and more than I am willing to type.

I prefer to think of myself as a ‘prevent the destruction of the country by most Progressives/Democrats’ than a MAGA type. Joe Biden is clearly on the downswing, but I feel comfortable that he won’t recklessly launch a nuclear warhead.

I can EASILY understand someone preferring Biden over Trump. I just can’t understand preferring Biden over virtually any other politician of the political bent you support.

I rarely rarely even look at this place anymore because why bother, the election is over. There's absolutely no way Joe Biden can win even by cheating this time because he's just too far behind and too many people hate his guts.
