DeSantis: the real deal?

My elementary school was all white, protestant, except I knew of one Jewish kid. Catholics had their own school down the street. Certainly, no gays even were heard of, and transgenders weren't even on anyone's radar.

I imagine if a drag queen came in and read a story, or sang a song, the whole city would have exploded in confused outrage, the school would be overrun and burned down the next day.

And for what?
