They should have broken Apple into pieces.

Now we're in a huge mess.

Not in a huge mess at all, and you can't break up a company because it has a high market cap.

Apple is not a monopoly.

Apple is worth $3 trillion because it is the best operated company in history, with superior innovation and quality products and media services superior to any of it's competitors.

That's not against the law.

It not a high market cap that does it.

It the difference relative to a benchmark, like the median of all stocks.

A good example to understand the issue, is CEO pay.

It's similar.

If the CEO percentage stays the same, some would make trillions soon.

Even Cook realized the issue, which is why he gave back some of his pay for it being too high.

Why not?

Why would it matter whether Amazon's market cap fluctuates more than the market value of single-sector companies like T or LLY.

Amazon's market dominance comes from offering a wider range of products and services for sale, led by an army of independent sellers.

Amazon is an online shopping mall, where 60% of its sales come from independent third-party sellers who set their own prices on items. Most of those sellers are mom and pop vendors. Amazon provides the opportunity for thousands of average people around the world to earn money as independent business owners. Combined, those independent vendors sell more Kirkland products than Costco.

Walmart only allows businesses and not individuals to sell on their site.

Costco only allows business with a product to sell on their site.

Because eventually, all the other firms publicly traded will get bled dry with market value.

It will be a great sucking sound during the cannibalism.

Apparently, as long as the firms responsible are taking revenues from foreigners more than here, it's OK.

I often wonder if we would even use the word "trillion" if not for money.

Just an earnings increase or decrease of one of the magnificent seven, could be $100 billion difference in value.

$1 billion is a huge amount of money.

Imagine what $100 billion is (one AT&T).

There's no way this is sustainable for a stock market, unless the median increases.

What is really happening at the Southern border.

"Those groups we saw, by the end of the night we'd seen about 300 people come across and there were only two families from Latin America, Central America. I thought they would be from El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico, but no. They're all from countries... I interviewed everybody on that line that night. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Nepal, Tibet, and then every country in West Africa."

They're likely compensating for the Covid vaccine disabilities and deaths.

There's no other way to explain it.

Proving my point? Millions died BECAUSE there was no vaccine! Google pictures of NYC hospitals during the pre vax period of the pandemic, look at the pictures, and tell me the vax hasn’t saved lives! You won’t be able to.

I’ll re State my position. I am NOT saying there are no risks associated with the various COVID vaccines. I AM saying that the risk/benefit ratio is extremely low.

Are you in favor of seat belt laws? Motorcycle helmet laws? I’m guessing you are not…

I
Am in favor of neither. No need to legislate common sense.

Not saying the vax hasn’t saved lives. Sayin it has not been “millions” and saying I still don’t want it.

It is a partnership between the federal government and the corporations to create millions more taxpayers and consumers. A Dem will likely win the presidency in 2024, so we can expect the flood to continue at least until 2032.

Millions more people creates more demand and higher prices.

Overall inflation compounded is up 18% over the past three years. Food up 25%. Rents up 20%. Terrible for the average consumer, most of who voted for this, but profits and profit margins are up across every sector, and tax revenues are at an all-time high.

This is the first time in human history where half the population of a country voted to die broke and sacrifice a portion of their quality of life and standard of living for the benefit of others.

lol

Yes - lots of poor people voted for Donny in 2016 & 2020. Sacrificing their standard of living in exchange for more tax cuts for rich crooks.
