No conspiracy. Sixty million tons Saharan dust covering an area larger than the US, keeps most of the Atlantic storms at bay. The dust cloud briefly shifted further south, giving storms a clear path to the Gulf, where Helene and Milton developed into Cat 4. This is the cloud on Nov.1, 2023 Large, dense and well north.
