As Trump announces his cabinet positions, e.g. RFK Jr., the market reacts with a "Oh no, we're screwed!" and tanks. Will things continue to deteriorate? Stay tuned... |

That’s funny. I’ve been reading about the Dems trying to spend every possible dollar before Biden sails into the sunset. Maybe the ‘market’ just realized the Dems still have two more months of damage to inflict? But seriously, trying to read the tea leaves on the day to day ups and downs of the stock market is not a valuable use of your time. There was a clear ‘Trump bump’ for stocks. Now we have to wait to see once he actually takes office if his policies will work for the market…. or not…. |

The market fell after Powell said yesterday, there was no need to rush rate cuts. Core Inflation is ticking up again. “The economy is not sending any signals that we need to be in a hurry to lower rates.” https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/14/economy/fed-powell-rates-trump/index.html Buy the Dip. |

Hold my beer :-) This Sheriff is not resigning https://people.com/ohio-sheriff-lt-facebook-post-wont-help-democratic-voters-8739492 "I am sorry. If you support the Democratic party I will not help you" “At the end of the day I will require you to provide proof of who you voted for if you ask me for help, Weapons and ammo are not cheap.” “The problem is that I know which of you supports the Democratic Party and I will not help you survive the end of days,” Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

| odiousgambit Member since: Oct 28, 2012 Threads: 165 Posts: 6374 | this is a woefully misdirected person who should be shown the door however there are indications that he, a survivalist, is talking about giving no help if there is an apocalypse , using language like “survive the end of days.” . So I think we are getting a spin here, just saying I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

If the apocalypse comes, people will have to make choices. That doesn't clear him from his comments. Public officials have no business making comments like that and he should be kicked out of office. It isn't hard--you swore an other to protect the people you work for and you had a choice in doing that. Your duty is clear. I swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. We have many differences of opinion and lots of worthless name calling, but if someone is really a true "danger" to the Constitution, I will be defending it with life or limb. The Sheriff made that kind of commitment to his jurisdiction and his comment makes you wonder if is willing to do what so many other public servants would do and have done. I don't really think an apocalypse is coming and, if I had a plan, why would I tell anyone about it? People have said a plan is needed; I am not even sure I want to live if there is truly an apocalypse. |
