As a physician who I'm sure has participated in more than one high risk delivery over the years, I'm sure you understand the importance of proper prenatal care and monitoring to help ensure the best maternal and fetal/child outcomes. If we want to incentivize pregnancy and families, then our labor laws and pay laws should do so.

Fair point about it only covering private employers. I'm sure there is a reason embedded in state law or public sector union collective bargaining agreements that complicate such requirements in government. As an erudite and learned man, I'm sure you are knowledgeable on such things. Or, at least you claim to be.

I notice that you yap about the Democrat Gov Hochul, but not about the supposed pro-life GOP governors in those states that have WORSE maternal and child health than New York. If I was a man of science (which I am) or a man of medicine (which you are), I;d be more worried about that.

All fair points. My first wife was a full time worker when pregnant with first child. She found ways to go to the doctor on her own dime. There were after hours appointments, or weekend appointments, or she used PTO. We NEVER felt it was her employers responsibility to PAY her for these appointments. IF the law was such that the employer could not PREVENT an employee from seeking health care that was UNAVAILABLE outside of normal working hours, I would support that. Once again, it is the difference between a Republican philosophy (keep the government out of my life) and the Democrat philosophy (I want the government to let me take advantage of someone else).

The Democrats have TOTAL control in NY. It’s not even close. They can EASILY pass a law that enshrines Hochul’s 20 hour giveaway into law for ALL employees. You MUST know that a law would supersede any labor contract, right? And there is NO labor union that would object to there members being given 20 free hours with NO GIVEBACKS! I guess I am erudite!

As far as the pro life Republican governors, I’ll agree with you. It’s a part of the reason I call my present political affiliation ‘anti-Democrat’ as opposed to ‘Republican’.

You of course KNOW that maternal mortality is HUGELY skewed towards race. A black mother is 2 1/2 times as likely to die as a white mother. And nearly FOUR times as likely to die as as Asian-American mother. You think that’s because all the black mothers live in Republican states?

You are deluded if you think the GOP philosophy is to "keep the government out of my life." You are deluded if you think the GOP wishes to govern from a position of keeping the government out of people's lives.

Seems to me the gop is not the party that wanted “vaccine passports” or mask mandates. Not the one against homeschooling. Not the one demanding l buy an EV. Or any number of other mandates. Perfect they are not but they are far more for personal freedom than the Democrat Party.

Operation Paperclip?

Wernher von Braun:
https://www.nasa.gov/people/wernher-von-braun/

-----------------

The book “Project Mars: A Technical Tale” by Wernher von Braun, originally published in German as “Das Marsprojekt” in 1948 and translated into English in 2006, includes a science fiction narrative that mentions the title “Elon” for the leader of a Martian government. In the book, von Braun describes the Martian government as being directed by ten men, with the leader elected by universal suffrage for five years and entitled “Elon.” This title is not a name for an individual but rather a position similar to an elected meritocratic president.

The coincidence of Elon Musk’s name aligning with this title from von Braun’s book has gained attention, particularly in December 2020 when Twitter user Toby Li mentioned it in a tweet directed at Elon Musk. Musk responded with skepticism, asking if it was real, but the information has been confirmed by others familiar with the book.

Von Braun’s book, which combines technical specifications for a human mission to Mars with a fictional narrative, was influential in the field of space exploration planning. It was later republished in 1962 and again in 1991, with a foreword by Thomas O. Paine, the third Administrator of NASA.

--------------------

Here's another:

-----------------------

John Trump and Wernher von Braun had indirect connections through their work with the U.S. government and military research. John Trump, an uncle of former U.S. President Donald Trump, was involved in analyzing Nikola Tesla’s papers for the U.S. government. According to a blog post, he was called in to examine Tesla’s belongings seized by the FBI after Tesla’s death in 1943.

Wernher von Braun was a pivotal figure in rocket science and space exploration. He worked on the development of the V-2 rocket for Nazi Germany and later became a key figure in NASA’s space program. Von Braun was instrumental in the development of the Saturn V rocket, which was used in the Apollo missions to the Moon.

While there is no direct evidence of a professional relationship between John Trump and Wernher von Braun, both were involved in significant scientific and military projects that contributed to U.S. technological advancements during the Cold War era.

Then they stole the election to compensate for the basement campaign.[-/q]

Really?

Funny thing, I've heard this claim made many times but never has a claimant adduced a shred of proof.

Your turn, boyo: time to step up to the plate and explain exactly how the democrats "stole the elcection."

Virginia man was arrested last month after investigators found what the Federal Bureau of Investigation described as the largest seizure of explosive devices in the agency's history, prosecutors said in court documents.

Brad Spafford was arrested after a nearly two-year investigation during which a confidential source told the FBI about Spafford's ownership of a short barrel rifle and his stockpiling of weapons and homemade ammunition, prosecutors said.

The source said Spafford told him he had lost three fingers from his right hand while "working with a homemade explosive device," according to the order. The source then told the FBI that Spafford was using pictures of President Joe Biden for target practice at a shooting range and "stated that he believed political assassinations should be brought back, and that missing children in the news had been taken by the federal government to be trained as school shooters."'

It's pointless, every time somebody does point to the truth you just ignore it. Why would anybody waste their time replying to you.

LOL

What do you know about "the truth" of the matter?

You and the other maggots haven't provided a shred of credible evidence to support this BS claim, a claim which helped catapult a convicted felon, fraud, and liar to the helm of the ship of state.

Hey, I see why you might be attracted to a jerk like that.

I see you're not denying the fact that every time evidence is presented you just ignore it. Nice try lawyer_man..
