The conclave has spoken and for the first time in history they chose an American pope.

Funny how the picture was posted DIRECTLY from drumphs own, personal truth social account and his own personal X account, and then retweeted by the official Whitehouse account. But he knows nothing about it.

Just because he probably had nothing to do with its creation, he really needs to accept responsibility for his own posting of it.
Oh what a jolly jape.

The United Parcel Service (UPS) is set to close three of its facilities in Pennsylvania.

The reconfiguration aimed to enhance UPS's ability to modernize its distribution centers across the country by adding more automated package hubs, resulting in the closure of nearly 200 facilities. A spokesperson with UPS said that the company began this initiative within the first few months of 2025.

The spokesperson added that the initiative will result in a slash of nearly 20,000 jobs and 73 store closures, ABC

I noticed folks still believe the GDP growth numbers coming out of China:

This article explains the fudging, plus more.

Obviously, reporting too high of numbers for GDP growth, negatively affects their trustworthiness.

In other words, no data can be trusted.

I'd be surprised if we do business with them at all.

Who wants to do business with someone that can't be trusted?

Chinese GDP is often touted as a measure of success, but it is overstated by about 100%. Investment is roughly 45% of Chinese GDP compared to about 25% in most developed economies. Over half of Chinese investment is wasted.

I’ve been to China many times and have seen the empty ghost cities and the monumental train stations that are mostly empty. If that wasted investment were written-off, Chinese GDP would drop from 5.0% to 3.6%.

With honest accounting for bad debt in the government-controlled banks, Chinese GDP would drop to 2.0% or lower. China’s government debt-to-GDP ratio of 250% makes it impossible for China to grow faster than the debt burden is growing. This dynamic makes future growth even more difficult.

Yes China does not seem to be doing too good.

Fear of Economic Collapse Forced China to Negotiate With President Trump, Quietly Reach Out First

P.S. DoubleGold, I enjoy reading the majority of your posts but your formatting is somewhat annoying. To me there is just too much empty space between lines of text.

You don't get it because you belong to the Trump cult
Americans don't give a crap about the economy in China. We know China leaders don't give a crap about their people. They hold power by controlling the military. There are no midterms in China
We care about the US economy
Me and the country were better off when Biden was President
That's the bottom line
Trillions of retiree wealth wiped out
I've lost money. It sucks big time
I just want a President to keep the US economy roaring regardless if Dem or Rep
Trump is a failure
He's wrecking the American economy
Millions of retirees depend on a growing stock market

His wife loathes him also; she's spent very little time with him since he retook the throne.

Smart girl: renegotiated their post-nup requiring the oaf to pay her royally while she stays away, hopefully banging whomever she wants without the oaf being able to do a damned thing about it except keep paying through the nose.

Well played, Melania, except in response he's decided he wants to screw the entire country and not just his now-MIA wife.
