By ‘tax break’ you mean a guy who worked his butt of as an entrepreneur and now makes millions a year will only be paying the same in taxes as 28 ‘average’ families instead of 29 ‘average’ families, well….. you can somehow contort your TDS addled brain into calling that a bad thing the government is doing. And how pathetic you would say ‘reaping the billions in government contracts’. You do realize the government HAS to buy stuff, and usually enters into contracts to do so. Which contract don’t you like? As you like to say…. Put up or STFU. Would you like me to find the tens of thousands of handouts due to Democrats? While you scrounge to find some that are Republican in origin? In summary…. You got nuthin! |

Pshaw. _________________________ White House and Department of Defense officials may have exerted preferential treatment in the awarding of a $620 million loan to Vulcan Elements, a rare earth company partially funded by a venture capital firm where Donald Trump Jr. is a partner. CREW submitted a complaint to the White House Counsel’s Office and DoD Office of Inspector General urging them to investigate these allegations and whether any federal or DoD rules were violated. In August 2025, Vulcan reportedly drew funding from 1789 Capital, a venture capital firm founded by pro-Trump donors in 2023 which Donald Trump Jr. joined in 2024 and where he is a partner. Three months later, the Department’s Office of Strategic Capital announced a $620 million conditional loan commitment to Vulcan and a smaller $80 million commitment to another rare earth company. According to ProPublica, interviews and DoD records it reviewed “show that the request to loan hundreds of millions of dollars to the firm linked to Trump Jr. was made by Peter Navarro, a White House adviser to President Donald Trump and a friend of Trump Jr.’s.” Vulcan was reportedly the only deal initiated by a top aide to the president and a government official told ProPublica that “this [Vulcan] deal was completed in a matter of weeks because they were told it was a White House priority.” Public reporting does not suggest any evidence that Trump Jr. or 1789 Capital discussed Vulcan or the loan with any government employee. However, it does suggest that the Trump administration advocated for Vulcan to get a loan. CREW urges the White House Counsel’s Office and DoD OIG to immediately investigate these allegations and whether any federal ethics regulations or laws were violated, as well as other administration contracting and loan practices. DoD loans and contracts should be awarded based on the most exacting standards, not political favoritism. As the war with Iran continues, it has become even more important for the federal government to assure the American people that DoD’s taxpayer-funded resources are used appropriately. If not, our national security and American businesses that play by the rules will be undermined. |

As long as there will be government contracts, someone will be complaining. Show me a bid lower that guarantees the same level of work or STFU. Gee, billionaires who own multi billion dollar companies got multi billion dollar federal contracts. You wanted those contracts but now feel aggrieved that you didn’t get them? |
